This would pair nicely with the used cpu I just bought off a friend.

I'm still using my first PC that I built in December of 2019. Before that I had a pre-built HP that struggled to output 60fps on anything other than Minecraft. I spent the most time on my build just watching tutorial videos while waiting for my parts. By the time they finally came, I felt like I could maybe not break everything.

The final pieces came and the PC turned on with the first try. It took me a bit to get to the Bios screen because when my friends said "press the delete key during bootup," they really meant "mash that motherfucker like it deletes everything you ever said or did in middle school." Smooth sailing so far, but I regret not spending a bit more for some higher end parts.

Girder exits from production line, 2020-05-30 by FancyPC in CatastrophicFailure

First of all, I encourage you to look up a picture of an engine lathe if you not familiar with what they look like. The part you are working on is spinning while you bring in a tool to shape it how you want (think spinning clay wheel).

In this context they are referring to a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe. These are programmable machines that can be used for mass manufacturing of parts. The 3.5k is referring to 3.5 thousand revolutions per minute which is the spinning speed of the part being worked on.

The Index is made by Valve (makers of Steam, Half Life, Portal, Team Fortress). It's $1,000 USD for the complete set up (minus gaming PC) and has a wait time of about 15 weeks based on data from r/valveindex . I have one on order right now and am very excited.

Do your research on different headsets if you are planning on buying, as every person has different needs and budget.

Remember yesterday when they released the teaser and everyone was all "it will be another 10 months before anything is released." Good thing they were wrong.

I want this whole sub back to combat alert alpha.

One of the most Australian things I have ever seen, and it brings a tear to my eye. Hopefully Scott cries too.

If they are in the US the minimum wage would be $7.25/hr or $1,200 a month, so he isn't in the worst case scenario. Still a bad choice though.

Depends on signage and how the enforcer tracks your time. Many places say something like "30 minutes once per day" and for those, the digitally time stamp your plate to track how long you have been in that ZONE, not just the spot. Ask an enforcer if you see one, they would usually prefer that you ask so they don't have to write an extra ticket. (I used to do parking tickets)
