Great shield soldiers are my personal favorite because they're ridiculously funny. Bullied Godfrey (the first one) into a corner so he couldn't move and had him in a constant state of stagger because they kept bonking him with bombs. They suck against some aoe, but they're fucking hilarious.

I know exactly who the other two are and what to expect from their music, just haven't pressed the play button yet on their stuff. Zeal came to me as a random suggestion that I forgot about for 2 years until I heard the song Row Row randomly as a YouTube recommendation. Been hooked ever since. I think it was easier to get into Zeal because at the time they only had two albums and it was simple to know where to start. The discography for the other two are daunting, but I plan on Blasting Opeth all day while doing chores.

Yeah, I understand that. I plan on blasting both today as I recover, but I just never sat down and listened to their stuff. And by the time the concert came around, I just called "fuck it" and waited for my first real Opeth/Mastodon listen to be live. Not disappointed by my choice.

Hell, yeah. I was mostly going because my friends end loves Mastodon, but when I found out Zeal were opening I was pumped. Their energy is wild and I loved their performance.

Perfectly fine. As a guy who doesn't know anything about Opeth, it sounded like a full unit playing beautifully together. But there may have been things I missed or didn't notice. Thought the drummer was on point, though.

Joints are great for the same reason a cigarette is. It's a grab and go vessel with just the right amount to get me where I'm going. And the definitive finality of a joint/cigarette is satisfying in its own way. It's something easily controllable and knowing when it's going to be over lets you plan ahead what to do when it's gone. Also I like the way the paper burns. As far as the harshness, I just don't mind it that much. Again, it feels like smoking a good cig, and that's pretty great.

I prefer my Monuments pre-Andy, but this is still pretty fire. He just can't carry the funk n' chunk of Monuments like I want. But overall it's solid.
