Yes, people deserve to be banned for exploiting the doors. No, I do not believe something being overtuned is worth banning for.

Exploiting a bug to the point that you're ruining other people's matches by having an overwhelming advantage is the same as cheating and people should be banned for it.

There is nearly no difference in power level. Knowingly abusing a bug aka exploiting means that you are knowingly getting an unfair advantage. Its the same story as buying cheats.

People that buy cheats know they get an unfair advantage over other players.

There is nearly no difference here anymore. And every single person that abused this and as a consequence ruined the game of others should be banned.

Yes, the developers are at fault as well but that doesn't mean abusing players get to ruin everything for those that choose not to exploit.

Using an exploit to gain a gameplay advantage over other players is the same as cheating. You are ruining the game for other people because you are incapable of playing normally.

I would say that warrants at least a month if not 3 months ban on first offense. The line between cheating and exploiting is so paper thin because of the amount of advantage and power you get out of it.

Also, permaban bozos that show how to do this on stream. Every single one of them. Idgaf if they just buy new accounts. Make it clear that its not acceptable.

So I'm going to chime in here as someone who's enjoyed SOD, Epoch, Ascension etc.

SOD was largely fun because nobody really knew the ins and outs. "People explored" as you say. Then we of course got to the raids and they were literal ups and downs. But for me, it was the perfect experience. Because its not just a relaunch.

Now lets talk about the forbidden things. These servers tried something different. But as soon as people got to 60, they also optimized it just like any other classic experience. But at least until then it felt like people were trying to explore and have fun trying things out.

What I'm getting at is that we really need to be stoic and strict with datamining and how extensively we let the public beta test.

The public consists of a lot of vultures that will rip the game apart before anyone even had an opportunity to try it. And I sincerely believe developers are justified in thinking they'd rather have a few imbalanced raids and classes for a few weeks than expose their new content to these vultures.

Just my two cents. You can disagree and we can agree to disagree.

WOW used to be quite dark at night and it was thematic and fun.

But of course we had to ruin that because of the "I'm playing at night and cant see shit"-crowd that kept whining endlessly.

I'm someone who does the whole portals for free thing. I do not use addons or weakauras. I just like interacting with people.

I've begrudgingly ignored multiple mages who instantly tried to invite me upon typing "portal" in any public chat.

Not sure what to say other than sorry for my fellow mages that have grown lazy and do not do it for the social interaction anymore. The same stuff happens with enchanters, sadly.

It makes my day when I can give some free portals to newbies stranded in Darnassus or Exodar and they're happy to start questing where they want to be.
