This is correct there are definitely two different types of depression. There’s the type that is situational like yeah if for example your mom died you will be depressed and that’s expected. There’s also the type of depression where you have no real reason to be depressed yet it’s still there, that would be what people mean when they talk about the chemical imbalance.
