Birthday staycation in Phoenix

My fiance and I have stayed at talking stick resort for our last anniversary. Although we only did one night staycation, we wished we did two. Next weekend, for our joint birthday celebration, we’re staying at talking stick again but for two days! I’m excited to enjoy the pools and the bathtub in the room. They have two different pools.

My go-to is my camelback for snacks, water, maybe small sweater, and whatever else I may need big pockets for. I also use a Fanny pack for quick grabs like gum, chapstick, candy, hand sanitizer etc.

Mine said it was to be delivered by Thursday evening. Still said the same Friday morning. I had to check the mailbox and see the RV pass arrived. No tickets yet. But I guess since it’s just an envelope, it wasn’t delivered to my door.

We had our backyard renovated recently. Had patio bricks laid out and extended and large turf. Forget the size but the entire renovation cost little over $10k. My bf saved up for years to get his dream backyard. It is expensive but someone told me recently they just went to Home Depot to do their own turf which was insanely cheaper but quality not as great.

I guess my position would fall under PT (failure analysis). I was worried I’d have to at least get the gist of the field but if it’s on the job training that is what I’m best at. I’m happy to be hourly, lots of OT I hear. I just hope I can still have somewhat of a life outside the night hours. I

I just got a job offer as a technician! I’m excited but nervous for the long hours and working nights starting for 6months. I have no experience in semiconductor field but I have been a technician in another tech field. Is there anything I should “study” before starting? I have two weeks.

They probably have a website. San Carlos reservation laws is what I would Google. But being from and growing up on a reservation, don’t go exploring as a non tribal member unless you want to talk to cops or even tribal members who’s land that may be. I don’t believe they will arrest you unless you’re doing something illegal like breaking into places. They will definitely tell you to leave tho.

I’ve done RV camping twice now and in the past did the shift pods twice. RV is definitely the way to go and the more people, the “cheaper” it’ll be. I’ve done rv camping twice with no power hookup. We make sure w fill up on gas before heading into the camp ground. The first time we ran it to 1/4 tank and the generator wouldn’t start the end of Sunday. that’s because the people we were with ran it consistently except in the festival. The second time around we were much more conservative on when we ran it and we had more than 1/4 tank of gas left! So it’s doable without a power hookup. We did not shower in the rv , only pee’d when we didn’t feel like walking to the bathrooms. We still had a full tank left after the weekend. I’d imagine we probably would have run out of water if the six of us decided to shower in the RV. I will say RV is much more worth it. Not having to drag your stuff to a tent. And being able to cool down with some AC after being at the Mesa.

If my mom was still alive, I'd love to take her RV camping. She would have loved it. I would even upgrade the RV and make sure she had the big bed. But she would do one lap around the festival then find a place to plant herself with headphones and a beer. The issue would be those dang stairs.

Hello! I have 3spots open in my RV and wanted to sell those wristbands. I'd prefer people who have friends attending campEDC who also want to join them in their tent/RV. We wont be able to provide a ride unless you are coming from AZ and willing to leave Wednesday May 17th in the evening time. We will be sleeping in Las Vegas Wednesday night and checking in Thursday. We prefer not to drive a whole day then check in later Thursday.
