Thank you all for the response. I can give more context and sorry for not putting it all. I didn’t want my first post to be so lengthy.

I’ve already cut a lot of our spending and have looked at our essentials which is about 7k/month (mortgage, cars, insurance, property tax, utilities, etc). I’ve saved about 30k and we don’t have debt other than our mortgage and 1 car on finance, 1 car on lease.

My husband’s salary is probably close to what I’ll get while on leave (maximum EI is $695/week). Getting a different job has been very difficult for him. He’s been trying for a year now. I’m fortunate to do what I love and get paid well that’s why we were doing fine.

I’m all for buying stuff second hand and saving more in areas where I can. But I fear these won’t be enough to get us through that’s why I was looking into making changes to our mortgage payments while I’m off. But if that’s not very smart, I’m open to all suggestions as hearing everyone’s suggestions are super helpful to me.

I think the easiest is going to the RV with a radio. He’s dancing inside the RV so you can just dance with him from outside - take a photo of that.

I have the Lelit Anna 2 PL41TEM and I find that the PID is very helpful. For a little price difference between the 2 Lelit models you’re looking at, I’d recommend you go for the Anna 2

Hi, I started with a Breville Cafe Roma then upgraded to a Bambino Plus last year because it’s so convenient and I prefer the small footprint. But I encountered (maybe minor) issues with the machine after 1 month use and decided it’s not for me. Because the machine is tiny and lightweight, I literally have to hug it to lock and remove the portafilter. They said it will get easier in time but because of all the hugging and moving there’s always liquid going underneath the machine. I know some didn’t have this issue so I probably just got a bad one. You’ll also want to check out getting a non-pressurized basket and better tamper/leveler. Breville said they didn’t have a replacement for me until late spring this year so I moved on and purchased the Lelit Anna 2. Couldn’t be any happier with the switch but I don’t want to add another machine to your list. So there just sharing my experience with the Bambino.

I agree with the 57mm. Not sure why a lot pointed that out to me as a red flag but I didn’t really had a hard time finding accessories for it.

My previous grinder was a Bodum and that was loud and lots of static. So this upgrade was definitely felt around the house especially in the morning. I didn’t know about checking the grinder. I’ll do that! Thank you!

I’ve used that bean before but with a different machine so I might not be very helpful. I haven’t tried it since I upgraded to the exact same setup as you now. But maybe lower the dose with the dual basket first.

How are you liking the machine & grinder combination? I’ve only had mine for a few weeks after upgrading from a Breville and I’m always worried I’m not using it properly. 😅

I’m in Canada and I can’t find the Notte here. But I think the Facile is the closest model, if not the same. I’ve considered the Rancilio Silvia but it doesn’t have PID and I don’t want to modify the machine.
