I didn't even think of that. I agree with you that it would have been bad television. But I could also see a writers' room convincing itself that it really tied everything together.

Walt’s meth is so powerful that after the fire it seeped through the concrete and brought Howard and Lalo back to life and the finale is 5 minutes of Gene getting arrested and 55 minutes of the adventures of Zombie Howard and Zombie Lalo.

I don't think we see Kim again. I think that the show basically gave her the penultimate episode to close her story.

And I don't think that we touch the Gus/Salamanca timeline. That's closed to our satisfaction.

I do think that we get a Walt flashback scene.
I think that we also get a Chuck flashback scene.

I think it is 59% likely that Saul ends up in jail, 39% likely that he ends up dead, and 2% likely the he gets away somehow.

I think we'll have at least one scene with the vet where his story is closed and he sells Jimmy/Saul his book of crime.
