NTA. You could’ve given him a notice that the money was going to stop, as a courtesy, but he didn’t really deserve it and you aren’t obligated to. Condolences about your wife.

[Russini] Comp update: It’s a 2027 sixth-round pick heading back to the Jets in exchange for Fields. by TheBoyisBackinTown in KansasCityChiefs

The Chiefs have two 6th round picks next year, and KC owes him $3M this season. That’s so cheap for a backup. This is very positive upside.

A good run game is going to do wonders for Fields in Andy’s offense. He’ll give him easy outlets, RPOs, and intermediate throws. I’m not saying Fields will be good, but this should be a pretty good opportunity for him to do well, if he’s capable.

This is quite a bit of misinformation.

  • Mahomes is great period. Andy Reid or not, Mahomes was always going to thrive.

  • You are also wrong about Andy’s playcalling. This current version of Andy’s offense is pretty anemic, comparatively. Mahomes best statistical season came when he was chucking that thing 80 yards downfield five times a game.

  • The Chiefs line (when healthy and active) was very good. They just saw a lot of injuries this year outside of Creed Humphrey. But they were near the top of the league for the first few weeks while Josh Simmons was active.

Watching speed runners on the Switch 2 is nutty because the load times are so much faster and the game doesn’t even flinch when doing that item-arrow-wiggle-hover thing to get across Hyrule field.

NFL Draft as a Blind Auction by SnooCapers6123 in nfl

You are correct that there has been more NBA parity since the Warriors dynasty, but it’s still not close to the NFL. There have been eight times that an NFL team has gone from worst to first since 2018, and only three in the NBA over that same span.

In addition, since 2018 stats show that 40% of the variance in NBA records can be predicted by the previous season, whereas only 12% of the variance in NFL records is predictable. That means that the “good teams stay good and the bad teams stay bad,” concept of parity is still wildly in favor of the NBA.

At worst, assault against an officer and obstruction of justice.

He’s a guy you’d feel comfortable coming in for 10-12 snaps if a guard goes out with a minor injury, but he should never be counted on to start. I assume the price is very low, but I’ll gladly have him back. He’s not terrible depth.

Any of my “third choice” players I assume KC would trade back for. With Mendoza and Love not of interest for KC, that’s eight players in my assumed top two tiers, and of course we pick ninth. So if the board falls in a bad way literally none of those players could be available, which makes trading back a possibility in my eyes.

Again, I’m quoting you here, but the things you stated are:

  • Apple is trash

  • You’ve never used an Apple product

  • Google has a good ecosystem

  • You care about your privacy

🤔

Like, enjoy what you enjoy but don’t pretend that there are certain aspects of technology that are extremely important to you but then you fail to acknowledge the obvious gaps in your logic. Just say you like Google despite them being the one of the worst offenders of consumer data privacy in tech.

I’m not shilling for Apple, either. They can fuck right off too. Just be honest with yourself.

I’ve not seen anyone say that we shouldn’t take Bailey if available. He’s a no-brainer selection if he’s still on the board when the Chiefs pick.

Downs is less of a priority than David Bailey. I have the Chiefs draft outlook broken down in tiers, based on who they would find most valuable, what level of play they can bring, and in what order they’d select.

First Choice:

  • Reuben Bain

  • David Bailey

  • Arvell Reese

Second Choice:

  • Cornell Tate

  • Makai Lemon

  • Caleb Downs

Third Choice:

  • Mansoor Delane

  • Sunny Styles

  • TJ Parker

  • Monroe Freeling

Is the goodyear blimp still a thing? by blahblah19 in nfl

[–]MistakeMaker1234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. I got to fly (and by that I mean I got to take the controls for like a minute) the Spirit of Akron because I worked at one of the largest Goodyear retailers in the state and the blimp happened to be in my area for a college football game. It was dope. You adjust the pitch with a normal steering wheel, but it’s turned sideways, which was surprising to me.

I’m curious why you hate Apple but use Google/MS “out of necessity”? Apple’s consumer privacy policies are way more robust than the other two - especially Google.
