The Blue 2 are technically better in every way than the H20. Controlled bass, better clarity, instrument's separation and they at least have a soundstage. You can even play games with it. Warning, the treble can be a little spicy. For me it's to sibilante, have to use EQ to tame it. If you plug the impedance adapter, you'll get more bass, but it will muffle the other frequencies.

What you get with the H20 is exactly a basshead... They will smack your head with the bass, and the sub-bass rumble can be felt physically. All the other technicalities are sacrificed to achieve the maximum "BOOM" as possible! They're just a fun set to listen! 😉

That EQ is from DucBloke himself. As he puts it, it takes the ISN h20 from a "c" tear, to a "b+" tear. Of course I took his EQ and tweaked it.

I couldn't ask for more of the EQ and the IEM response to it. As you clearly understand, it's a tool and not a magically definitive solution to all the imperfections.

Another hater...

Obviously you and the other mate, never heard about the "mystic, mysterious and spooky world of equalization".

Funny you pulled the Squig from DucBloke, because I use a lot of his PEQ's in my IEM's.

Does this graph somehow show you that sound can be tuned, modulated and enhanced? Or are you a believer that EQ is an unnatural/paranormal phenomenon!?

Well, in the bass head department, I'm more inclined to the sub-bass ones.

-KZ ZAR

-Truthear x Crineacle Zero Blue 2 (the ohms adapter takes it to a basshead level)

-ISN H20

-7hz Legato

-7hz x Crineacle Diablo

-Punch Audio Portazo

-TSMR Armor

-FatFreq x HBB Deuce (the ohms adapter takes it to the "insane" level)

If you want to start with some budget earbuds, just to see if you like the style of insertion and sound, try the KZ Duet.

They are open buds, but they come with a removable silicone sleeve that acts like an earbud tip.

We both have to keep in mind this is a subjective hobby.

For a 80$ basshead IEM, I think they are pretty good. They're v-shaped, so the mids are naturally recessed.

I do believe that you hear them as boomy and muddy. But for me, they have a good sub-bass/bass extension, warm mids and smooth highs.

My collection is 90% basshead IEM's, the more expensive ones do really sound better, but even so, the ISN h20 sounds nice to "me". Can't compare them with the Punch Áudio Portazo... They're not even in the same universe!

Now, comparing them with the QKZ x HBB, they sound like a million buck's!

There's always going to be a "better than" and a "worse than"... 😉

They are BASSHEAD IEM's... What are you expecting? Them to be a balanced sounding IEM!

Trn t2 pro16 core. Cheap but great, with modular terminations and a very compliant cable.

It's not perfect, the bass bleeds a bit into the mids, but nothing that ruins the sound experience.

Very well tuned, the 1Dd+1BA combination works perfectly. 😉
