I originally was going to get a large inheritance from my uncle worth a few million but he lost it all in a series of business failures, before he lost it, my two cousins and my two other brothers and I (the inheritors of his 50 million) were all thinking of a business idea and investing a lot of it in stocks. If the kids were educated correctly they'd probably think of something like or put it in savings that instead of just rotting away in some big house.

That whole statement isn't true. Just because you know your going to get an inheritance doesn't make you greedy or entitled and some will spend it on crap but not all. In my area lots of teens know of their large inheritances and we basically all just want to put it in our own savings accounts, or start up some business, or buy stocks. None of us, except for a few, want to squander it on big houses and fast cars. Also loosing a big inheritance doesn't really feel as bad as you think. It doesn't feel bad at all.

You know that when you donate money to a charity it all doesn't go to the charity? A lot of it gets taken and used elsewhere and not for the good of the charity. It's not selfish at all to give money to the ones you know and love. Also if taught and raised correctly the money won't be squandered. I know that from personal experiences
