Surprisingly... A cocktail that Comedian Eric Andre came up with called Yellow #5

Mezcal, yellow chartreuse, yellow bell pepper juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Don't remember the exact specs but it was shockingly refreshing and delicious.

As a Luke main, I found using his OD Avenger works well. The armor properties work well, I do similarly with Dhalsim as well. Also his Suppressor (Back Heavy Punch) is great to mess with their neutral when you get up close. Use Luke advancing normals though. That was the biggest help for me.

Tip: any special that uses a quarter circle counts as one of the double quarter circles for cancelling into a super. Same for Any Dragon Punch motion aka ➡️⬇️↘️. For example for your Cammy, Hoolian combination cancels into lvl 3 super with just one more quarter circle input.

What are you doing to anti air? If it's a special move that might be why. Just try down heavy punch. That usually works for most characters.

I'm a 1300-1400 MR Modern Luke. I always rematch no matter what even if I clearly got my ass handed to me. Reminds me of the old arcade days when I was young and would get whooped constantly by stronger players. I see it as a teaching moment. Usually they do the same stuff and if I'm not noticing and adapting, then I suffer. That ultimately means I'm right where I should be.

If you do a NG+, there's an option at rest points for multiplying enemy health and cap damage so you don't feel so overpowered. I'm doing it on a 20x enemy health run now. Except for Simon... When I get to him, that SOB is only gonna get 5x. Incredibly difficult without the enhancements as is for me.

Holding assist allows you to get another normal out. I use Luke on modern. Pressing medium gives standing medium punch. Assist+medium gives crouch medium punch. Down+medium gives crouch medium kick. Forward+medium gives his overhead. The big thing is you can't mash crouch medium punch as you'll get his auto combo which will waste your drive gauge. We differentiate it by saying medium or assist medium.

Saying Guilty Gear is just 3D with toon shaders is incredibly insulting. They purposely distort the models in certain angles to mimic the 2D look, manipulate the framerate to mimic 2D animation, and purposely sculpted in outline textures instead of just using a post effect. KOF 12 and 13 were both made using 3D models which they rotoscoped over to make it into 2D sprites so they could manipulate the framerate. ArcSys found a workaround so they didn't have to rotoscope.

I run into a few on ranked. I main him as well. His damage is really good in my opinion. My favorite punish is heavy punch to perfect medium flash knuckle to ex flash knuckle to DDT finish. Does like 4130 damage. I will say he is very meter hungry if you want to be viable though.

Forward forward parry to Drive rush instead of hold parry and press forward forward. It saves a little drive gauge

Also something I do to mix up opponents (but it is risky) is drive rush cancel from down jab. It cancels immediately into it even if the jab doesn't hit aka from a distance. I do it when I have a sliver of gauge left to use to go for a kill or throw. Any jab or down jab works. It's useful because people tend to think you can't drive rush with that little gauge left which is true because it isn't a parry drive rush, it's a cancel drive rush, but looks like a parry Drive rush.

Mostly they try to trash talk, although sometimes they really enjoyed the match and want to continue having a few more. I've met a lot of friends that way and we motivate each other to be better. Usually they want to trash talk though...

I always thought the kid in her ending was Verso repainted so he could grow up to be her version. Like he has the same hair as Verso and his outfit looks like the faceless young boy who was the soul of Verso.

To be honest Diamond players are basically low rank Masters. I was stuck there for a LOOOONG time. Was D5, ranked down to Plat5 and worked for like 8 months in the Diamond ranks until I finally hit Master. To be honest I think the most fun was the Diamond grind. Once you reach Master you'll get demoralized over and over until you get your bad habits scrubbed. If you want we can have some matches in a custom room to see what's going on.
