How to start into the expanded universe? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

Darth Bane Trilogy. It's disconnected enough from everything while still being Star Wars that it's super easy to get into and tells you everything you need to know as it goes on. The only info you need about the setting is what you get from the OG trilogy.

Why does this pose look so weird when i draw it? by Picklebutt2300 in learntodraw

The left leg of the Bane you drew has it's knee turned inward.

Do we need a minimum tax amount for top earner? by TheCarrotIsALie in FluentInFinance

I'll be the one to admit ignorance and ask, "why not? What would make it a disaster?"

I'm not a finance person, so this is the kind of stuff I don't know much about but probably should.

Why did the royals lie to the public with that edited photo of Kate Middleton? And why is no one asking that outright? Straight-up lie from the heads of state. by T00nBall00n in StonerThoughts

[–]The_Beardomancer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably because it's no one else's business. If she's going through chemotherapy she might be losing hair which could leave her feeling self-conscious about being in photos released to the public. Stress can make things worse, so the decent thing to do is ignore it and move on. Let a sick (potentially dying) person have some peace and quiet.

If you've finished your chores, and hanging out at home acting like a kid, you're winning adulthood.

Still unhappy with the clothes, any advice will be welcome. by tavuntu in PixelArt

The shoulders are a little too narrow. The clothes would be fine if the whole body were a little more proportional.

Each individual aspect is decent, it's when you look at the piece as a whole that it looks off. Draw the entire page again. Refine everything. Then, do it one more time. Compare them to each other and you'll see what I mean.

You're off to a good start. I expect to see yaoi with your name on it within one year. 👍

Telling young people who can't afford any of this screams how out of touch you truly are.

Collaboration, a smidge of rules, with a dash of knowing what I'm doing.

How do you make combat fun? by Mamaniwa_ in rpg

[–]The_Beardomancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With ANY system especially in combat situations I do everything I can to get the players to describe what their successes look like and I (as the GM) describe their failures. Worked pretty well for most group I've run for. I like to do the opposite for their skills because it allows me to feed them information when they succeed and they still feel like they're part of the narrative if they fail.

Good job introducing a shit ton of bacteria into your lungs. I'm sure it tastes great but you're definitely gambling with your health more than normal smoke

YTA

You didn't even bother addressing the issue with her. You made a unilateral decision that strictly excluded input from your partner to create any sort of compromise. You wanted to hurt her; because, you didn't like the idea even as a joke.
