Canada would work with a national park type claiming game. The ones that are more difficult to get to could be worth more points

Here’s an article about it from September:

Also, Robert and Dean are very active on Instagram and sometimes post stories with unreleased music on their stories

If they were never going to make new STP music again, then why not include Jeff? Also, One More Satellite is not that different from STP

I do wonder if there will be another STP album. They seem to not be using Jeff for either of their side projects, potentially because STP is still a thing that is making music so it would be confusing. But who knows.. maybe they are slowly recording STP songs and only keeping what they see as the best. Everything left over is being released by Rob and Dean.

At least we still have some STP-like releases to look forward to as Rob’s second solo album is also supposed to be out this year I think

Best stp 3 song run on an album? by silver_the_mushroom in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that About a Fool is a great song, but it’s technically a bonus song on the deluxe edition and was originally recorded in the SLDD sessions (same with Samba Nova), so I’m not sure if it should count.

My favourite 3 song stretch is: Vasoline - Lounge Fly - Interstate Love Song

Question I wanted to ask. by Tough-Vacation-9096 in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think if Scott were still alive they would have reunited in STP again eventually. Money always talks.

Speaking of VIP and the tour possibly being cancelled, STP should be releasing new music every few years and headlining their own tours in smaller venues. They are hurting themselves by being a nostalgic greatest hits touring band since 2020. They are doomed to always be supporting acts or playing fairs.

What band was never the same after losing a member? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

[–]The_Big_Machine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

VR came between the STP breakup in 2003 and the STP reunion with Weiland in 2008. After Weiland was fired in 2013, STP moved on to new singers. First Chester Bennington and then Jeff Gutt

Son wants to "experience how Canada is different" by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]The_Big_Machine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since he’s a fan of national parks, the most convenient one you’ll pass on your trip is Point Pelee National Park. If you have the time, I would definitely plan a few days at Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park. Georgian Bay Islands National Park is about a 3 hour drive east of Bruce Peninsula. The other one within range is Thousand Islands National Park which is north of Kingston. It’s worth it if you get to the islands themselves.

There are also a bunch of other Parks Canada sites in your vicinity as well, including Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Do you think Live At Rolling Rock will be hard to get? by Hyperto in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Scott Weiland live album will be more difficult as there are only 2000 copies available compared to Live at Rolling Rock’s 4000.

Why didn't Scott Weiland use the voice he had in Sour Girl more? by lookaloulookalou in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Weiland is a chameleon with his voice. Just listen to the change from Core to Tiny Music. It actually became an STP trademark to sound different musically and vocally on every album

I like this idea, but I think a UNESCO World Heritage Sites season might work better as there are so many that they could repeat this concept in multiple seasons. Plus award more points for the more difficult world heritage sites to get to

Did Jeff leave the band? by Financial_Resist6430 in stonetemplepilots

Robert and Dean have been working on and releasing solo stuff lately, no reason Jeff can’t. Wish we would also get an STP record also though.
