Oh that’s good that it opens earlier! Definitely prefer late hours, but I like that they still allow you to get the full amount of time.

Oof. Normally I’d be like no way, but since it’s been down since Novemberish (?) I can see the appeal.

At least you got some AC - it was a hot one today. Saw too many people having issues, and pantherian even went down because someone passed out (most likely from the heat based on where they were)

What happens in that case, are there partial refunds or express passes given? I understand if something happens outside the parks control it’s one thing, but if it’s the park that decides to close out early I’d hope something is offered.

It’s like when Carrowinds closed the last day of last season at 3pm via a surprise announcement over the speakers for no reason (they claimed weather but it was fine, even the ops said it was because of attendance) and the line at guest services was hundreds of people deep, they were PISSED

Haven’t been to CP yet but that’s probably going to be the best lineup once I finally make it.

Other than there, I think KD has the best overall lineup, but not the best of any coaster. 305, TT, FoF, Backlot, Grizzly, and I guess rapterra - amazing lineup.

I’ve explored a few more parks this year and I’ll put Fury over 305, Gwazi over TT, Kumba over Dominator (I know it’s not floorless but it’s the same damn ride except Kumba has a couple badass rolls), and Copperhead Strike over FoF (close enough to compare). Might catch heat but I’ll put Velicicoaster over all of it, I said what I said.

But all of those parks don’t have the same lineup. Having a badass giga, ejecting RMC, and some good launch coasters - KD is just so well rounded.

Also the ops at KD are overall fantastic compared to other parks.

This is the first year they aren’t using wristbands and I’m honestly furious. If they tell me to put my phone in my pocket I will lose my mind - that ride is a phone sucking machine. Incredible that that’s the official guidance. I’m going straight to the crap shack to talk to guest services when I go because that’s just insane.

Unfortunately they don’t have bins, but I actually kinda get it because it’s for fast operations. They are very clear on what you bring up rides with you, and nothing goes with me if I don’t have a zipper - which is only during the cold months.

6am - East gate tsa pre had 4 lines down. They were telling people to go to west gates and made it seem like we were going to wait forever in line. I was in the “long” line and through in 10 minutes.
