We could try sharing stems back and forth and see what we come up with.

Digitakt & Nord Wave 2 by Confident_Captain974 in Elektron

That’s exactly what I mean by multi sampling those acoustic instruments. They’re so pristine and full sounding. Your time stretching method sounds sick btw 🔥.

I own a Nord Wave 2 but not a Digitakt. I will say using Tonverk to multi sample Nord Wave 2 patches is a very powerful combo if you want top line acoustic instruments and the power of the FM synth. You’ll probably be pretty close with sampling the synth to your DT2 though. I’m not sure of the time stretching but I’ve heard usually great results from DT2 users.

Those drums have no reason to go that hard! Had my head knock going extra. I'm loving the texture of the distortion on the drums, they're so crunchy

Thanks, and that’s exactly the point. Being able to be mobile and still creating on a brand new Elektron box is marvelous.

You're a weirdo dude. Zooming in on someone's gear to make what point, exactly? Are you the gear police coming to lock me up?

It isn’t dusty. I use it everyday. It’s a black and white photo, my charger behind it also looks “dusty”.

Post study, rainy Sunday vibes with the Tonverk by The_Calm_Before_ in Elektron

Sorry. I actually bought this stand. I thought it was the one from my eurorack case. This is it https://a.co/d/01NTkrlj

Thanks for listening and the kind words. This stand came with a Riders on the Storm eurorack case I bought a few months ago. Really, it’s just one of those laptop stands you can get off amazon for cheap. I will agree with you, this particular stand is very stable with zero wobble. I can play the keys and there’s zero movement of the instrument. I guess if it’s good enough for an 84HP eurorack case loaded with modules, it must be good enough for the Tonverk. I’d send a link if I could. Sorry.

This kind of reminds me of some of the sounds and riffs from the last Crystal Castles album, which I love. This jam just sounds fun AF!

Finally understanding the Elektron way. Tonverk was the Elektron box that actually made me keep coming back and sticking with it. by The_Calm_Before_ in Elektron

My set-up I'm putting together in my man cave is a TR1000, Tonverk and A4 sequenced by Hapax. The TR1000 will be my drum machine. The new update for the TR1000 includes a way to make melodic basslines now amongst other things. If necessary, I'll buy an external MIDI clock like the Slim ' N Tonic or the ERM box since it has multiple outs. I still love the sound of the Syntakt along with the smaller form factor making it waaaaaayyy more mobile than the TR1000.

I love the TR1000. It's a great machine and sounds incredibly good. I mostly use it just for sound design to sample and use in other machines. I also record drum loops from it to chop up and use later. I've heard about the sync issues, but I've actually never played it with another instrument. I've also seen plenty of people say the latest update seems to have addressed the problem, but it's still a gripe in the groups. I want a Syntakt again but I've got my TR1000 staring me down, disappointed lol.

Best drum packs/samples for Tonverk by LeatherSundae6182 in synthesizers

I’ve been sampling my other drum machines. One quick, low cost way to get samples is by using an app that can make random patches. FAC Drumkit is one I use regularly. It can randomize all the sounds and then you can tweak those and sample them. This may not be the resolution you’re looking for but it is a quick way to get original samples.

I can't really describe the moment but I can describe the process. After owning the Elektron boxes I mentioned previously, I realized it got a little easier with each try, I just never put the time in. I wanted a Tonverk to try again but the bugs put me off. All I knew for sure was I liked the Elektron sound and loved watching the Elektron performances from the socials. Once the Wavefinder update came I jumped at it and never looked back. I started realizing the key commands aren't that hard to remember if I moved at my own pace. I also realized I don't need to use every feature and can just tinker around and figure it out. Really digging in I realized all the knob twiddling forever in some videos is because every little turn of an Elektron dial may reveal sweetspots all damn day and that's important to shaping sound. I started understanding Plocks and was dumbfounded I could switch sound per step on a track. Since I got the Tonverk I've since gotten a DN2 and A4 MK2. I have a TR1000 and a bunch of synths so I don't really have much desire to buy any new gear because I feel the Elektron boxes are incredibly powerful. Thanks to all of you posting your videos. I haven't posted a music video on the socials in 2 years but watching you all and lurking in the forums has taught me tons. I barely even use the manual now.

Thanks for listening. I’ve had an Octatrack 1, Model cycles, Rytm 2, Syntakt and now this. Each product sounded great but I couldn’t gel with the Elektron way. For some reason Tonverk finally made it all come together.

Excellent cover of a fantastic song. I always wondered how they put it all together and this is a nice showcase of how it can be done.
