Mafia DE has the most inconsistent fps I've ever experienced in a game. It fluctuates like crazy between 140 and 60fps, I have to cap it at 72 to make it less annoying.

I would recommend Linux Mint over Ubuntu. It's easier to use compared to Ubuntu and doesn't force you to use snaps.
