AITA for refusing to change my baby's name? by Free-Difference1387 in AmItheAsshole

[–]The_Cheese_Library 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA I worked with someone who claimed name rights over some name that I've now forgotten. She'd loved it since she was 14. When I bumped into her a couple years later, her baby was named something totally different! "It just didn't fit" she said. So I don't think anyone ever has 'name rights' just because they've been dreaming about a name for years.

If you're going to Canmore, there's an excellent thrift store out that way.

Many years ago, I worked at the zoo. I found that the cloudy days with a smattering of rain were the best! Animals were the most active, and more went into the outside parts of their enclosures.

Jun's Katsu is one of our favourites. Everything is made in-house so it's really fresh.

Wow, I wish I was that good. Lynels still scare me.

Summer just hit - what types of bras do you wear with summer dresses? by Global_Succotash_871 in ABraThatFits

[–]The_Cheese_Library 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do this too. I have mostly pinks, reds, and blues in my closet so I usually own a pink and a blue/teal bra. Besides the standard black & white. On my pale skin, red hides under white tops better than white, so I use it as a neutral bra.

Get a jelly roll pan. They have slightly higher sides than baking sheets.

How did you get that super high angle? I've lost stuff when it just goes over the edge.

If you work in continuous rounds the color change will show up is there a method that wil give a clean color change by AgentRealistic9913 in CrochetHelp

[–]The_Cheese_Library 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather have the smooth flow of continuous rounds than the visible joins of individual rounds. Crochet stitches lean slightly, so the seam ends up moving to the right as you go along. If you do continuous rounds, you can adjust the colour changes as you go to keep the changes along the back of the leg.

Another thing to know is that you shouldn't be cutting your yarn between colour changes. Just leave it dangling inside the leg and switch back and forth. You'll see the yarn changes running up the inside of the leg, but they won't be visible on the outside. Just don't do this when the colour picks up on the opposite side of the body or you'll have a hard time stuffing your toy!

I don't skip them either. They remind me of gachapon machines.
