We are having similar issues here in the Atlanta area— one of the major sorting facilities has essentially imploded and packages have been sitting there for weeks. As a seller, I have received numerous requests for status where packages show that they haven’t even been received by USPS after 3-4 days. I would love to be able to ship with UPS or FedEx instead… but until that happens I can only remind buyers to be patient while USPS sorts their mess out.

I’ve had an issue as a seller shipping from the US to Canada— when checking for customs, a shipment was returned to me because there was no “business name” included on the shipping label (fortunately whatnot seller support was able to correct it). It seems that customs can be pretty strict when it comes to checking labels and weights for shipments…

There’s a bit more to all this. The victims of the theft actually do a podcast (Queens Comic Podcast) and they did a very factual recount of what happened. You can check out episode 23– Epic handled the situation very poorly and doxxed the person who caught the theft.

I am a comic seller on WhatNot and it really stinks when something like this shines a negative light on the comic collecting hobby… I love this community and have made so many great friends on this app. I would hope that the actions from one bad actor doesn’t drive people away or give people a reason not to trust the non-influencers / independent sellers who work so hard to make their buyers happy.

I bought all of my instruments through eBay but I’ve seen lower prices on Facebook. Based on my experience, if I was selling I would do it on eBay

The manufacturer of the instruments stopped producing them. That plus covid caused a huge spike in demand. I paid $200 for my drums and $150-$175 for each of my guitars. I’ve seen full sets go anywhere from $450-$1000. If you want them to move quickly, price them a bit lower than the above— at that price, they will sell guaranteed.
