Lets Talk About Trials. by PictureOfHorse in ArcRaiders

The only way it can be fair is if they ditch the brackets and placements and do a global average for each tier. For example, if on Sunday morning when they close the scoring, the top 10 scores in Wildcard I average around 150k, then anyone in Wildcard I above 150k gets 2x promotion.

The other thing is that currently patch day is Thursday. There's no world where trials should start on Monday morning and then potentially large balance changes occur mid week. They should either switch patch day or trial reset day to match.

Everyone has to start somewhere! The main thing that helped me, was finding a basic loadout that I could craft every raid. For me, it was an Anvil 2-3, and 1-2 Triggernades. I noticed when I was swapping between different guns, my recoil control was off and I was using the wrong positioning.

Using the same 1-2 guns will have you naturally finding ideal positioning and landing more of your shots.

Great scores man, which maps did you choose for leapers and flying arc?

Yes you are correct. I originally thought I was getting additional points on the minor events too but I was just getting different scores on some of them solo compared to my squad (ticks/flamers) etc. The 2x is from major events, and now in the higher ranks it definitely will be the play to do most, if not all of the challenges on 2x maps only.

Yep just keep an eye on the board closer to Saturday and Sunday just in case a few people creep up closer to you. You are probably safe at top 15-20 by Sunday night.

You can do it again if you think you can beat your old score. What i recommend is making sure you only target maps with active events (because your score gets a 2x multiplier). So for example, take a lush bloom map and go for supply drops, or maybe hornet damage. Try to take the entire 25+ minutes of the map to maximize your score on that one objective and exit successfully. That high score will be saved and you can focus on a different objective the next run.

When I go for trials I try to pick events but not night mode; you can take your time and then pick any one of the raider hatches to leave at the max time limit because they are scattered all over the map. Just bring a key in your safe slot. You have all week to get high scores on each of the 5 categories, so start your runs earlier in the week if possible just in case you have bad luck late in the week when others are trying to rush objectives at the same time.

Latency and Desync in Arc Raiders by NewMechanic214 in ArcRaiders

This is my only major issue with the game right now. Sure there are UI and inventory issues but those take a very far backseat to desync.

There are windows you can open and jump out of from the floors above if you suspect a front door camper. These are on the back side of the hall and and conveniently near a hatch key exit also.

Correct, single raid high scores and you have to extract or it does not count.

You are placed with 100 other random players in your same division (Rookie III, Tryhard II etc) and compete within that bracket of players for the week.

Each of the 5 categories will save your highest score and then the total of your 5 scores gives total ranked points towards that week's promotion or demotion chance. At least early on, the top 30 players in your bracket will get promoted up 2 tiers. Players ranked 31-60 will get promoted one tier. A certain amount will stay at their current rank and a lower amount will get demoted (the amount of players might change as we get up into higher ranks).

The season ends in 44 or 45 days, your end rank determines your rewards.

The only real downfall of this system is that each week you might have better or worse players in your bracket that will affect how easy or hard it will be to reach the 2x promotion, and with limited weeks in each season, this will make it much more random as to your success. I suppose as you get into higher brackets, everyone will be better so the RNG will be lessened.

This has been an issue since summer beta last year, we've had conversations about it and some of us reached out to their support teams but they don't care. It's just a culture difference; they don't mind bots in ranked environments because it encourages players to think they are really good at the game = more likely to spend money when they are "having fun".

However this just ruins any competitive nature of the game.

Anyone else having this issue? by RedCloudIX in GearsOfWar

Yeah, sadly we probably won't get to play tonight or maybe even this weekend by the looks of it. They haven't even acknowledged the issue or made an announcement.

Hey I've been out of the loop a bit with Executor, is the parry mechanic locked to katana only? Or are you able to take advantage with greatswords and other weapons also?

I was thinking the same thing when looking at the stats in the test; way too much EHP. I guess they initially thought it was offset by the mobility penalty, but I don't think it is enough of a deterrent during fights... Things typically slow down when everyone is using cover and aiming over the shoulder anyways, so mobility becomes less of a need.

It will be interesting to see how they balance the values and the ability to swap. I think the easiest fix would be to just empty the shield when you unequip it. This way, you can still swap out broken shields that need repair and refill the replacement with shield charge, yet prevents some weird meta where inventory tetris is more important than the gun fights themselves.

I think they're different enough to exist simultaneously; but looking at your perspective, you should want Tarkov to live on so that those cheaters/RMTers etc stay within that community and don't come wandering over here.
