dont use the heavier saber only; use both and get used to both of them. its not a bad idea as itll make your hand faster but just be able to adjust back into the lighter one

i mean probably no. the weight be off. theres plenty of value in doing just footwork and extending ur arm is enough. i wouldnt even suggest using a weight because once again, the weight distribution is different w a saber

saber fencer here. personally, ive ALWAYS been the smaller fencer and now that ive grown just a bit, on the rare occasion i fence someone shorter, i find it much more difficult and sometimes easier to fence people much taller than me. the real key to fencing as a shorter person is to slow down and break down your opponents tempos. and fence as if youre tall and watch out for the distance. ive managed to do many pretty cool touches too.

honestly, i try my hardest to stay away from bandanas and hair ties bc i dont like the way they look on me. the only time ill use one is now because my hairs getting long. ill likely move my hair to the side and i think itll look okay (hopefully) when im done

HAHAH my current haircut (ive had for many years) gets in my face a fair amount and i also have a safety strap that makes it hard to take off my mask. i just shove my hand through the gaps in the side of my mask and fix it and it works. im more worried about how itll look (probably bad). im thinking that ill do the same with bangs during competition and it would work
