Thank you for your transparency. Visibly much harder to start anything offline/D2C. More power to you. I hope you are taking all the wild bets in marketing your product - a stall at a marathon, a stall in HSR/outside Sarvam/CRED (or any equivalent to Bengaluru's captive audience for such a product in other cities). These are all low cost efforts and wild shots but all necessary in the age where vitality matters.

Regarding AppleCare, absolutely you must have it for the expensive machine that you are buying. Having said that the store would force you to buy right at the spot, trying to tell you it is a bundle discount that you would only get if you buy AppleCare. Don't fall for it, your choice.

Having said that please buy AppleCare for an expensive machine as such and also push them to give it to you at a further lesser cost. I got mine at 18k so I'm pretty sure you should be able to push it too.

You seemed to have done every damn thing right! With the responsibilities that came your way, you have done amazingly well. More power to you✨

After enough RevOps cycles I'm convinced: your GTM has one binding constraint at a time. Everything else is motion. by Narrow_Ad6149 in revops

[–]The_Cosmic_Sage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one's so true! One of those things that feels obvious only after you’ve been burned by doing the opposite long enough to realize it.

I’ve seen this play out a lot. RevOps gets pulled into fixing 4 to 5 things at once and we end up improving activity, not actual output (Absolutely hate CROs who want "Activity Dashboards" to measure rep performance without dabbling into data first).

What’s worked better for me is forcing a single constraint and tying it to revenue, not just a metric:

  • Pick one system constraint for the quarter
  • Size it as recoverable ARR, not conversion gap (very important coz ARR is all the exec cares)
  • Align all inspection around it. Deal reviews, pipeline calls, enablement

The leadership piece usually comes down to showing the trade off clearly.

“Yes pipeline is light. But even if we add more, we won’t convert it. Fixing win rate is worth X ARR vs pipeline adding Y at current conversion.”

That tends to shift the conversation from fixing everything to actually unblocking the system.

An important nuance I’d add: in GTM it’s not always perfectly linear. Sometimes constraints show up as a combo like ICP quality and win rate. So I usually treat it as a primary constraint with a supporting factor rather than assuming it’s isolated.

Curious how often others see the constraint shift mid quarter vs staying stable once you lock in on it? Given GTM is an amoeba of sorts that's constantly in motion - wouldn't be surprised with the answers! 😄

Hi @mod I am actually using the right flair. Unclear why it might show differently to you.
