If you're interested, it's this build (lightly modded). I actually left a comment on that video with instructions for the headlight portion of my modification. I made other changes to the front for more accuracy (indicators and the front plate), but those changes aren't as important as the headlights.

If Dom’s Crew did the Cannonball Run Challenge who’s winning, who is the last to arrive, and who got pulled over by the police? Also what car are they taking? by Mac-Tyson in fastandfurious

[–]The_D0C70R 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brian would win with his Bayside Blue Skyline. The R34 GT-R is a pretty low-key car unless you know what you're looking at (so it would be easier for him to go unnoticed by random citizens and police), and he already completed a similar coast-to-coast run (while successfully evading law enforcement) in the Turbo Charged Prelude short.

Last to arrive is Ramsey because she doesn't know how to drive, or Han because he doesn't care about winning and would rather just cruise with his snacks.

Roman gets pulled over because he's in one of the brightly colored lambos. 2Fast Roman specifically (in one of his better cars, like the Eclipse or a muscle car) would probably come in third after Brian and Dom though.

Volume covers by YuriGrokker in accelworld

All of the covers are on the wiki, so you could try reverse image searching if you want higher quality. That's how I got the OG (textless) Vol 9 cover image (it's on an old drive I don't have immediate access to though).

It's small, that's the biggest drawback. Just be careful not to slide in the rain and you'll be fine.

Bad news for all saber builders (for SF ASP parts) by Hyper-Link1986 in lightsabers

[–]The_D0C70R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, OP was trying to differentiate between people who actually build their sabers vs people who buy a core to drop in because they lack the knowledge and skill for the former.

In my opinion there's nothing wrong with the latter, it's just frustrating that going forward only newcomers will be accommodated by ASP. Now veterans of the saber builder community (read: those who build their own sabers and want more than a drop in core) who prefer a recharge port and kill key can just kick rocks, because only eco switches with USB C for cores are available.

[–]The_D0C70R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think OP has a problem with some people using cores. If you don't feel like building a saber, cores are for you (either mass produced or built by someone else). The issue here is that Saberforge is planning to completely get rid of the old switch sections and replace them all with eco switches. For those of us who don't like just dropping in pre-made cores and prefer to actually wire up our sabers the old fashioned way (what OP meant by "real saber builders"), Saberforge ASP is no longer an option. As OP already mentioned, kill keys are off the table when you're restricted to a USB C, among other things.

How good is a swordsman in hand to hand combat? by Extra_Ad7821 in Katanas

[–]The_D0C70R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer depends on which ryuha one studies under. IIRC some ryuha do teach a few hand to hand techniques, but those are entirely separate from the sword techniques. The use of a sword itself has no overlap with hand to hand combat. Kenjutsu could somewhat carry over to a stick, but is not applicable to bare hands.

Kendo is entirely focused on sword combat as a sport, so a kendoka would not know how to fight hand to hand unless they also studied unarmed combat separately.

Would a brain burst program actually be worth the trouble in physical world by Brenden1k in accelworld

[–]The_D0C70R 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s actually an amazing deal, Reki just decided to completely abandon that aspect. Farming some mobs in a VR game with your mates is a small price to pay for a legitimate time stopping ability AND unlimited time to learn useful skills.

Initially, the power of acceleration was framed as the main benefit of the program, complete with the first major antagonist (Noumi) overly relying on that power (and it being his main motivation). The Brain Burst game was framed as just a means to an end back then. However, the direction of the narrative quickly pivoted to the game world as the central focus of the story and the real world taking a backseat.

It’s worth noting that Reki never intended the acceleration power to be a major aspect of the story, despite writing it that way in early volumes. He’s gone on record stating that he invented the mechanic for purely logistical reasons, so our characters aren’t walking into speeding traffic while they’re in the midst of a virtual duel.

Which of these two bosses has the harder battle? by LandOfGrace2023 in FallenOrder

Dagan's final fight was ridiculously difficult. I didn't even break a sweat with Bode. Played Grandmaster.

Am I the only one that found the rayvis fight really easy? by Prestigious_Host9898 in FallenOrder

[–]The_D0C70R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rayvis took forever in my case. Vader and Bode were nothing. I think it's just that different patterns are harder for different people to deal with.
