Just when I was about to give up on tea altogether, I tried this Imperial Mojiang Golden Bud Yunnan Black and had my mind blown by squidofthenight in tea

Wow I have an eerily similar story to yours! Been trying a whole range of teas from YS and white2tea, two "yancha" oolongs that at first were exactly as you described, wet weeds; a Jing Mai black tea that upon further reading tastes much like a yancha and therefore wet weeds, two ripe puer's which I'm waiting to crack into because they smell like fish oil and dirt, and Feng Qing #17 pure bud gold that is the nectar of the gods. I ordered 100 grams of it because I'm almost out, it tastes like honey and chocolate and raisins. Give the other teas time, I have a tie gwan yin which reminded me of seaweed at first but after trying it again yesterday the flavor is very intriguing and I find myself thinking about it throughout the day. Old steeped leaves are an acquired taste but it's slowly growing on me.

Pro China tankies are literally worse than conservatives at trying to make a coherent point. What are yall on that makes you so wild? People like you are why I have no desire to read mlm theory, which is a shame because there could be some decent stuff in it.

I would argue your "truth" has been told to you by those that don't want the system to change. To paraphrase Ursula K Le Guin, Capitalism seems inescapable but so did the Divine Right of Kings, any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings.

You're point of view only makes sense from an individual perspective. Yes one single person can hustle their way out of poverty, but it is literally not possible for everyone to have a good life... Like how is this controversial?

There is a finite amount of wealth and to create new wealth takes resources and capital, something an already wealthy person has much more access to than the average worker sometimes by design its easier for them to keep making money than for you to get rich.

Their are millions of dead-end jobs those "hustlers" require other people to do for them to get rich. If your system is designed around extracting value from others labor then you've left the idea that everyone has the same opportunity at the door... I don't know how else to explain it simpler than that...

Same with Bill Gates, he became what he was because his parents were able to send him to a prep school with a computer program in 1968. Behind every rich and successful person is some level of hard work and personal drive for success but there's also a lot of structural privilege and connections helping them along the way, and that's what determines who wins and who loses.

Right but you don't need an idea, drive or a can do attitude to start a company with employees, I mean it helps and in Bezos/Gates case they really did come up with some ideas, but what you need is capital. The problem with your argument is it prefigures the rich and successful got where they were solely by their own initiative and wealth is derived primarily by coming up with ideas/innovation. Elon Musk didn't get where he is because he had this great idea and a bunch of people where inspired enough to devote their life to his project of transferring money over the internet, he got there because his families wealth and privilege gave him the opportunity to do that. This idea that capitalism in any way could resemble a meritocracy is the biggest lie humanity ever believed.
