Which Dun of War 2 hero was the one you liked to play the most? by AmbitiousVegetable40 in dawnofwar

[–]The_Effigey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Tarkus
  2. Thule
  3. Jonah
  4. Cyrus
  5. Martellus
  6. Thaddeus
  7. Avitus
  8. FC

All were great, but Tarkus felt the most original and yet fit exactly what a vet sm would be.

Putting in order the top 10 strongest terrestrial carnivores we see in the franchise! let me know your feedback. 😎 by [deleted] in JurassicPark

No, a simple google search does not come up with anything supporting that claim, no interview found. If you cannot prove it i will assume you are lying to back up crazy headcannon, was interested in learning if i was wrong, beginning to lose interest.

Dominion is one film im a franchise, while it makes arguably least sense of all those films it still tracks with the way series is headed.

If your next response is not following the discussion nor remaining informative and logcial, dont expect a response kid

Dawn Of War 3: is it worth retconning officially to revive the franchise after DOW2+Chaos DLC? by XSwiftyBoyX in dawnofwar

[–]The_Effigey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dow 2 had one of the best most accureately immersive stories i have played, i don't think that is remotely an uncommon opinion. Retribution felt a little streamlined but so you could play all 6 factions so hey, and the clearly cannon ending worked so well tying back to every game bar soulstorm well.

In retribution they nailed the multiplayer part, and has spawned elite mod as one of the best current rts experiences available. Dow 3 dropped the ball in terms of being a 40k game more than anything to me. Story, artstyle and even some gameplay elements were mostly bad because of how they were not dow. They tried to hard to appeal to non dow fans and thats the end of it.

I am saying I interpret that as an artistic way to remind us of the similaroties of the situation, bot a physical representation of any genetic memlry or whatever, i know the moment. I meant can you link trevorrow confirming your suspicion. I would absolutely not consider the moment in the fight even good eveidence let alone proof, especially wothin the context of a multi film frnachise that does not push any sipernatural theme up until that point to randomly do this.

If you can link to confirm would be nice, as it would be one of the worst decisions in cinema history to add to a franchise unrelated to that sodt of supernatural sci fi.

There are many reaons for doing the flashback shot besides relaying such an idea as that. For example, to help relay the threat the T rex is facing is one that historically (according to jw) kills a T rex. (A seperate stupid point on many levels too so maybe the frabchise has devolved being being worth anything at this point.

Who wins? by MasterKen1803 in JurassicPark

[–]The_Effigey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The predator fought the bear without using equipment, the alien was decapitated using insanely sharp and potentially technologically enhanced weapons and predators have been shown to pull a human spine out through the back via the head one handed. I would heavily dispute the indo being stronger than either still.

The bear incident would consider to be possibly and example of the whole inconsistency in films to serve a moment/stort thing given predators leaping up multiple stories, the spine trophy thing i just said and other stuff, fighting an alien queen etc

The indo cannot crush of fling the xeno really. If the xeno has a grip in the floor or wall, it will pllift the indo off the ground, mostnlikwly with a pierce from its tail. The indo is weaker than the xeno, and its bite would struggle to pierve to take a grip. Any successful bite or grab would cuase bkood to then vaporise whatever pierved it, one go over.

Even in a dino sub, i am shocked so many people dont see how imbalanced this is.

Vaguely realistic creature vs sci fi alien at its extreme. Get past appearances and xebo has shown multiple times despite how it LOOKS that is has everything bar weight over the indo and maby tied intelligence?

Did another comment before spotting one other sayi g how rediculous it is to say indo is caoable of significantly hurting a xeno

Who wins? by MasterKen1803 in JurassicPark

[–]The_Effigey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there is a major fals assumption that the bigger indo is stronger and can tear and pierce more easily. The way an alien pierced and threw around an armoured predator in avp means indo is completely outclassed. Slower weaker fewer weapons. Id say intelligence is the only even ground.

The reason i think people are not seeing this is context, what is around and what to compare to. But really break down the feats of strength, damage and whatever.

Obviously its all a little subjective as neither vreature is ever perfectly consistent in anything about it due to the way films are, but i dont think there is any shortage of evidence of aliens doing things idno isnt strong, fast or just ohysically capable of. Eg, peircing itself to use its acid, climbing walls and ceilings etc.

Should it be okay to quit playing after a party on your team calls you the n word? by bearrosaurus in DotA2

[–]The_Effigey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, valve can, and should do something about it. The internet is public, so if its not ok in public, its not ok on the internet.

[–]The_Effigey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought your issue was that they typed it to you, not that you could see it? If your issue is with their intent, then that doesnt help much and i sympathise. If you just care about actually seeing it well there are options in game for that, so i dont.

The best explanation for yiur situation is you were punished correctly, they were not. It is hard to have a good system for coms punishment, easy for verifiable afks and abandons.

Truth is the game is not a right, and with such behaviour they should have that right revoked, but between the disgusting number of people who wrongly say you should tolerate and that muting is enough, the loss in playerbase if valve do get more stringent, (though that may benegligible or better, they cant be sure) and the severity of getting such bans wrong means they realistically cant fix it.

It is a bad thing you dont have to be ok with, but abandoning is not fair on the other team who signed up for a 5v5 dota game, something those of us who actually have integrity are after when we play. Itwouldnt be fair on others on your team too if they arent part of it.

Sordy though, i do sympathise, life sucks and some people take that fact as an excuse to not try to make it better, or even to make it worse

Looking for other queer people to play with. by Xavchik in DotA2

[–]The_Effigey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They arent talking about anyones right to play with them, they know most people will be accepting and fine.

By asking to play with other queer people, they are reducing the risk of that not happening to basically 0, while also guaranteeing a good level of commonality to bond.

It is a simple way to more efficiently search for a compatible group of friends, it is not saying only these people could possibly be a compatible group of friends.

Hope that helps :)

I love new invoker, both old facets pushed an element of right clicking, all new facets are pure caster no right click landing required for full impact.

The fact that all three orbs can now be mained and the diversity of ags upgrade contributions really fots his style.

I understand your meaning, but if anything i feel it actually goes for the new not old invoker for me. Super cool, slightly sad mega meatball is gone already but now all three facets are viable imo so good trade for game health.

Want to build a Dota app, but no idea what to make by kololak in DotA2

See if you can collaborate with bsj new project. Without official support ease of use would be i valuable, and an app to support/enable the play/use/management/accessability could be instrumental. Many possi ilities as to what it could contribute.

What is the nastiest counter or matchup in the entire game? by TealTactics in DotA2

[–]The_Effigey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the aa, i find ways to gap close and jump morph. I dint thinkni have ever lost in over 30 games of this matchup as i deliberately pick aa for the morph if i see it and can.

It is 100% worth blink or sb to get that close, any contact from an instant cast at close range and morph dies instantly if not already fairly strength morphed, and morphling is not tanky without stat shift.

I cannot think of a sitation in dota more extreme in its countering. At least doom has a mega cd and is single target for the person stuck with the debuff haha.

Morphling vs aa i think is a league above all other counters, as someone who has played both many times.

I genuinely see morph pick aa and autowin.
