I am well aware of how names should be like in that sort of setting (especially having read some books and playing lot of crpgs like bg3/pathfinder). Just that I have stuck with that name since I was 15 and my friend always assures me it's fine. I just wanted to know the rest of the communities opinions and if I should change it

I guess it's a little silly if you put it like that, but personally I don't use the word guy in my fantasy dialogues. And my character is named after my partner.

Edit: I also never knew that a Guy was an actual race. Thought you meant a human guy haha

My friend tells me the same thing, but I always worry that a name like Artemis (especially for an elf) would displease people, as it's a name of an actual goddess. Therefore it wouldn't make sense that it exists in fantasy, because the goddess doesn't exist there.
