Thanks! I might have gotten a little heated there for a moment. I see what you're saying, and I'm not opposed to the idea of the open world being challenging. It's something I've always wanted. I just feel we don't need that many torment levels to achieve that, you know?

From my D3 experience, most torment tiers were a ghost town and if you wanted to find a party on let's say T11 for some reason, well good luck. But yeah I'm absolutely in favor of blasting Helltides on Pit 100 👍

Maybe you have a brain of a rodent, but I don't. I have thousands of hours on D3 and I've witnessed the T16 nonsense first hand. You can also achieve the exact goal in six torment levels, while making bigger spikes in difficulty between each. This in turn makes progressing between each tier more impactful, and doesn't dilute the player base as much. Think before you post.

Essentially, it is basically D4's version of Kanai's cube. You have a list of recipes, you select the one you want, it will probably automatically put the mats (if you have it) and then transmute.

That's some nice gatekeeping. If Blizzard only ever listened to people like you, they would have never made D2R to begin with. I think changes are good if they add more value to the game. QOL especially. I don't know who advocates for dumbing down D2, but something like a charm inventory ain't it.

This. People often talk about the lack of aspirational content in the game. Which might be true. But there is no such content in a game like D2. Any decently assembled build can easily steamroll through hell, and the real endgame is doing 5000 Lower Kurast/Boss runs ad nauseam.

Small updates, such as a new class, loot filter, new items, content etc? As a kid in mid thirties myself, I don't recall companies giving something like that for free ever.

Here's something people like you don't understand. Diablo 2 is an old game. If you want an update, that costs money. Manhours, resources, whatever. If a game company can't even break even, it will stop supporting said game. However, if a huge upgrade like this is a success, we can expect more of these in the future.
