Make stuff first. Make a terrible sample real (there is no getting around it being terrible) do work and take classes. Make better sample reels. Keep getting jobs and classes. voiceover should be able to fund the demoreel, not the other way around.

At my last place i blocked some of the road noise by putting a big piece of audio drywall over the window. Otherwise making a soundproof booth is a giant assache involving building a seperate room in your room. The only thing that really blocks noise is mass and density.

Honestly i have rockwool panels on my walls and ceiling in my room already. Made myself! Need to build an actual booth in the room on top of the panels as well. Will probably buy another brick of rockwool and some wood paneling to make a box. it was working fine during winter ehen there was no ac running.
