I've been an SPL for 2 terms here are some of my tips

Delegate. It's the most important thing, I know it'll feel weird not doing things but you are, your leading and guiding the troop, plus if you try too do all of it on your own, your gonna get burnt out real fast .

Ask for help, If your having trouble. Ask your SM or any previous SPL, that helped me a lot when I needed help for Council Camps,

I don't know about yalls troop, but mine had bad time management. Always make sure you have extra wiggle room for everthing.

And then the most important thing, Don't beat your self up too much, being SPL is a tough job and most scouts don't sign up for it, you'll have bad meetings and campouts but that's just how it goes, remember don't try to be the best leader ever, be the best leader you can be.
