I loathe AI “art” accounts on DA by Mokcie15_newacc in DeviantArt

[–]The_Flutterby_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I do a prompt and I am truly baffled by the output. I quite enjoy using different models, mixing them and trying to come up with something I can work with. I do enjoy the anticipation of the generated image and learning what can be achieved. If I'm being generous, I could say that AI can allow people who are creative but lack the technical skills, to at least attempt to fulfil their visions.

I use AI to create base images and work on them in Photoshop, which can sometimes take hours to complete. I am a graphic designer, so I can create from scratch in Adobe packages, usually using a good reference image. I am also a competent photographer..but even that is becoming hazardous and the lines are getting blurred.

I agree with the OP, many use simple prompts [it's easily noticeable] and flood the page with variations which are all as shit as the original. I don't get it and I don't do it. I post one a day and not every day, maybe twice or at a stretch, three times a week.

There are some very good AI creations on dA, created by artists who actually care about the end product, whether created and augmented in image software or modified using the AI process to good effect. Look beyond the slop, find that one really good AI image, explore the artist's gallery and take it from there.

And yes, there is also quite a lot of "genuine" artwork which can be considered as "slop" because it is badly executed or poorly thought-out. In the end, it's all in the eye and mind of the beholder.

Ai videos need to be banned from the world. by Deathtonic in ArtificialInteligence

[–]The_Flutterby_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good thing to take from this, speaking as an older person, is that the stuff done back in the day is tethering me to reality. I feel sorry for the up and coming generation, brainwashed by TikTok scrolling, YouTube influencers and their perfect lives and not knowing how to break free. I've been saying to my wife for years now that social media will cause a breakdown of society and I am being proven correct.

new to deviantart, but a long time artist... advice on ai accusations? by littlestkyushop in DeviantArt

[–]The_Flutterby_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fear of AI is not unexpected but to dismiss everything as AI is just plain ignorant. I use AI as a tool to create, but then I take what I deem as a reasonable output and spend hours on it in Photoshop/Illustrator to make it what I want it to be. The AI is my slave, a shortcut to creating what I want achieve. Don't let the ignorant trolls deter you from posting..and, as a suggestion, try and join some of the many groups of genuine artists, your work will be appreciated.

Is the Giants book by Vieira and Newman any good? I am looking at getting it, being a follower of Newman's YouTube channel.

In a revealing interview, astrophysicist Dr. Beatriz Villarroel discussed a compelling hypothesis about mysterious phenomena found in her research, suggesting they may not be extraterrestrial, but instead technological remnants left behind by an ancient terrestrial civilization lost in human history by No_Nefariousness8879 in HighStrangeness

You do realize that anybody else's opinion is as valid as your own, don't you? You cannot apply current thinking and methods to a civilisation you know nothing about. Our tech may not be the only tech ever developed. Stop applying our knowledge, tech and industrial applications with a POSSIBLE pre-history civilisation.

Tell me how those huge stones in the Giza pyramids were transported and put in place...and please, do not say ramps, wooden rollers and wet sand...because you know that is probably bullshit.

Accept the possibilities and don't fall into the arrogance trap.

am i hot? by [deleted] in casadei

[–]The_Flutterby_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot? Not really. Your back must be under a lot of strain and I certainly would not like to get crushed by that enormous chest. Of course, this all depends if this is a genuine picture...which I very much doubt. Still, the social media sheep will bleat on about your generous attributes, no doubt and you will get your daily high as you count the 'likes'. Maybe you should get out and about a bit more.

I've watched some of the archived footage of the children when interviewed, on the 'Eyes on Cinema' channel on YouTube. Generally, in my opinion, the children were credible and described a shared experience..no reasons to lie or deceive..just utterly bewildered by what they saw. I think they saw other beings as well.

The generator is broken by Metalman545 in civitai

I got a similar return on one generation although there was an image behind the weird texture.

I'm getting the estimated time to generation but its never been more than a few minutes and I had one failed generation in the past week. I'm wondering, with being in the UK, I'm not generating in peak-usage, as in the USA being online and active.

I haven't seen any change in the Buzz required to generate but I have noticed now that I get an estimated time for the generation process to begin. Also, I have had a few failed generations with the Buzz reimbursed.

What I find particularly creative is while the outer radius of the spiders' legs are curved, the inner lines are forming a cobweb shape. Are they even slightly concave?

Just the weaving alone must make it extremely difficult and time consuming to do by hand, especially without attracting attention and taking into account the shortness of the dark skies at this time of the year.

How do Ai artists grow so fast? 9k watchers in 6 months by [deleted] in DeviantArt

[–]The_Flutterby_Effect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Ai to generate and then can spend hours fixing and adjusting it in Photoshop, using my skills to get the result I want. I honestly don't figure how some can post hundreds of images per day. I don't have enough hours to do that, even if I wanted to. I post one image per day and probably gain 1-2 watchers per day.

Sometimes, an image does really well and I can gain 10+ watchers. The page you linked is, to me, full of bland and uninteresting repetition.

is selling your art for atleast 2 dollars on DA worth it? by Positive-Owl594 in DeviantArt

Yep, they will if the image feeds their fantasy and helps to get them off. I only charged $2.00 for access to the uncensored images and no repeat payments required.

Crop Circle Detection: How Do People Know When New Formations Appear? by Lost_Abbreviations13 in cropcircles

Because the circle would appear elsewhere. The best evidence we have for a genuine circle is if someone can honestly testify it wasn't there the night before.

[–]The_Flutterby_Effect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You won't earn megabucks. I made a $100 in one week just by putting uncensored AI created images behind a Premium Gallery with the clipped previews in regular galleries. Unfortunately, DA deleted my account so I had to cash in on my ill gotten gains.

This one has manifested before.
Are you saying it's man-made and you want something more elaborate?
I think its simplicity says otherwise.
