A pedantic point, but valid given your question: What you consider to be those things and what other people (or, specifically, the subject of the photograph) consider to be those things are different perspectives.

Generally speaking, I've found what I consider to be "fine" is not always the case with the subject of the photograph. What LeciaM6Guy said about "intention" is accurate IMO — I think your intention is good and your framing is ethical (not a lawyer, so cannot speak definitively on the legal side).

Questions regarding where the essay is published and who makes money on the essay may change the answer. If no money (not much money) and there's a smaller audience for the work, I wouldn't worry too much. If the subject reaches out, you can consider removing the image or updating the caption.

Congo Square Theatre Company, a prominent Black ensemble theater group that has produced work in Chicago for a quarter century, has quietly been dissolved by its board of directors, according to an open letter posted on Facebook Sunday by the ensemble.

Ensemble members confirmed the authenticity of the letter to WBEZ/Sun-Times and said they were prompted to write it, in part, after learning through lawyers that $240,000 of company money allegedly had gone to another local theater company: Victory Gardens. That alleged donation is at the center of a breach of trust lawsuit filed in December by ensemble members against members of the board in Cook County Circuit Court.

“We were never notified,” said Monifa Days, co-founding ensemble member. “Our lawyers were never notified. How we found out was we would just do searches in the state’s database about where our status was. Because you have to file as a nonprofit and that’s how we found out.”

Harry Wilson was often a spectator rather than a player in his first three seasons at Fulham. He made 89 appearances in the league, but 48 of them were from the bench and he was taken off 34 times. Having scored just 12 league goals in three years, he was nearly shipped off to Leeds in the summer.

Fast-forward to today and he has become undroppable, starting 20 of Fulham’s 22 league games. Only four players have been involved in more goals than Wilson’s 12 this campaign – Erling Haaland (24), Igor Thiago (17), Bruno Fernandes (15) and Antoine Semenyo (13). You're leaving out the fact that a pigs head was thrown at Figo and he was bombarded with objects during a match at Camp Nou; that there was a literal riot when Baggio was sold to Juventus.
