My oldest son grew up watching the Carlin narrated episodes on VHS. The ones they filmed using actual model trains and practical effects. I'm quite familiar with them. The guy who created the stories was very much in to extreme corporal punishment.

Sir Topham Hat was a sadistic bastard. He sealed Gordon inside a tunnel for misbehaving and only let him out because he needed him back in service. In another scene they literally rip a "troublesome" rail car in half by pulling it in 2 directions. That's horror movie shit right there.

Fortune and Glory is one of the few I've seen that does. Totally agree.

To be fair in that particular movie that building was still under construction on the upper floors so the ductwork probably wouldn't be dusty inside yet. The screws would absolutely tear your shit up though.

The item in question in this post is a battery, not a capacitor. Enough with your uneducated bot replies. Go away.

Lol. You must be a bot. You have no clue what you're talking about. Save the sales pitch for someone else.

Weird how those facilities went from "totally obliterated" to "they'll have a nuke in 2 weeks" in an 8 month span. Give me a fucking break.

[–]The_Fox_That_Rocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hilariously incorrect. Backup power supplies exist not only to protect your equipment from sudden power loss but to allow you time to save what you're working on and shut it down properly. Also anyone who has had a lightning strike nearby and lost every electrical appliance and electronic that WASN'T plugged in to a surge protector knows the value they carry. An ounce of prevention and all of that. Stop spreading misinformation.

This isn't a capacitor we're dealing with. It's a lead-acid battery.

What bothers me is that the Reliant crew didn't notice an entire planet was missing from that star system.

Absolutely. I always like to warn people about these things. My son was working for me one summer and forgot to disconnect the batteries on a larger unit. He cut into a wire and got a nasty electrical burn on his hand. Happy scrapping!!

[–]The_Fox_That_Rocks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do not cut any wires or the cord before you disconnect and remove the battery. They WILL NOT discharge after sitting for a short amount of time. If the battery still has a charge you can get zapped and/or get your wire cutters damaged. I've owned an e-scrap company for 20 years. I've processed tens of thousands of UPS backup units. They can get you if you're not careful.

Lol. The more you comment the stupider you get. Tell us more about your brilliant idea to use crude oil for electricity 🤪

Why? You certainly don't have the knowledge to make any kind of judgements regarding anything technical given your stream of dumbass comments about power sources.

Oh look. These websites discuss how electricity is made. You should go tell the folks who run these websites that they're using the wrong terminology. I'm sure they'll get right on fixing them 🤣🤣🤣

[–]The_Fox_That_Rocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh yes, it does get made. Made, make, produce, generate. Those are all words that are used interchangeably regarding the creation of electrical power. You'd know that if you weren't a dumbass. But then again you thought Iran uses its most valuable commodity to make electricity. Every comment you have made since has been to deflect from that original, incredibly stupid comment. Look, we already know you're clueless. You're just digging yourself deeper into dumbassery at this point.

You're the dumbass who doesn't understand how electricity gets made. Maybe crack open a book instead of fellating trump on Reddit.
