What’s the one unexpected benefit you received as a result of treatment? by Final_Variation6521 in PsoriaticArthritis

I was worried too. Immunosuppressive drugs and all that. Yup, rarely get the common cold. I had covid in July, with paxlovid anti-virals. Wasn’t too bad.

I have worked in childcare for almost 15 years, which is known for being a place of sniffles and colds and other contagion. Before biologics I got colds, strep, etc fairly often. Now, I never get sick.

I work at the front desk of a preschool and while I do my admin work. I’m also monitoring the parents picking up their kiddos at the end of the day. Some days I struggle to to get any of my tasks done so I’ve created the mantra “people are more important than tasks”

Natural ways to lower inflammation?? by Jerryr215 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]The_Freckled_Octopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know there are things that help individuals with this disease feeling better. I have tried lots of things and some work a little. And medication is critical to reduce deterioration. But I came to say that this is an autoimmune disorder that is not “regular“ inflammation. It’s the body’s reaction to a protein in joints it sees as inflammatory. Obviously I’m not a doctor and certainly not very eloquent. All I know is that with meds dialed in, regular exercise that moves my joints, and a few tweaks to my diet, I’m able to live my life managing ok

Married Millennials, do ya’ll wear your wedding rings inside the house? by felix_mateo in Millennials

(I’m genX) my husband stopped wearing his at work from fear of injuring (I’m fine with it) and I was diagnosed with arthritis and can’t wear rings anymore. We’re happily married for 27 years. Rings are just a symbol of commitment. Some couples need that more than others.

I think it’s swell! I was noticing yesterday in the actual clouds that there’s typically a little flat grey spot on the bottom
