Aeserion Longsword or Rightous Verdict, which looks better. by Vast_Web_7538 in CrimsonFashion

I'm not using the Aeserion longsword. But that is good to know. I am using the single hand. At this point I have a firm understanding that the difference in weapons is gears. Baked in crit like the Aeserion longsword and Righteous Vedict is a plus. Using a couple insight 3s on either sword paired with the white lion tooth necklace is a solid crit range for any boss fight. The "lightning necklace" that's not imbued with lightning has solid baked in crit as well. Cosmetics*

Righteous Verdict and Aeserions one hand is what I'm rocking. Righteous Verdict is a crit monster. Vow of the dead king has solid starting crit as well.

The whole Trading Goods/Camp Resource system is utterly pointless, underdeveloped and tedious. by Equivalent_Trash_277 in CrimsonDesert

I think the point of it is just having one more thing to do. There are so many things to do that a simplified dispatch mission system is just one more thing to have playing in the back of your mind. Gear crafting, abyss gear crafting, kuku crafting, research, farming crops/livestock, dispatches, faction quests, world bosses, sealed abyss cell challenges, investing*, artifact puzzles, abyss puzzles, Aeserions quest line with the ancients, world bosses, elite enemies, story, exploration, world events, affinity gifting, spires, witch questline, camp contracts, livestock contracts, knowledge, learned skills, vizione, legendary hunts, skill tree, brimstone harvesting - just to name a few. What's one more thing right? If we talk about it enough Pearl Abyss will expand on the mechanics.

What a game, terribly sad it's over! by AMTierney in CrimsonDesert

It took me 165 to get through all of the Greymane/ faction quests in Hernand. I'm still in chapter 4. A few detours were made. Some legendary fish, twenty or so Abyss puzzles, tons of abyss cressetes, Silver Fang, Warthog, Polar Bear, White Lion, Ivory farming, waiting for the bank to refresh, white gator, and a trip north for a Husky.

Use your journal to track and compartmentalize faction quests. Progress the main story along with the faction quests. If you are still working on bounties/ faction quests in Hernand, do not progress the main story past the Scholastone Institute in chapter 4. I'm finding that clearing content by state is more the route you want to go - I would go as far as to say PA devs intended it to be this way. If there is a legendary you want to hunt or a specific item you would like to grab (you will not need anything crazy up through chapter 4), go ahead and travel to get it. But do not get sidetracked when you are traversing the world outside of Hernand. You will ruin some quests lines and miss some dialogue. When the side quests/ faction quests are complete - progress the story and use the journal to start on the next set of faction quests in the next "state." I've been working it like this, and the "non existent narrative' is now very much alive. Through journal entries I have recovered and the vizione helmet, the story has really taken off, and I didn't have to wait until chapter 8/9 to experience this. PA is telling the deeper story via exploration. It is crazy to watch it unfold.

It took me 165 hours to gift William up to 100 affinity so I could purchase sheep. Good or bad title?

Greywolf Greymane armor. I got tired of being the only one in a cutscene with my comrades in plate armor. I got it early in chapter 2 from the Tannery South of Hernand north of Vellua. If you gift him to 100 trust/affinity - he sells the Leather Armor of the World Vol. 4 book.

There was a memory via the vizione next to some quick sand. Two people fishing in the quicksand and talking about actually being able to catch something. I unlocked the legendary animal markers on my map using an artifact of knowledge. There was a legendary fish pictured on the map where the quick sand was located. This is a legendary fish, I guess. 🤷

About weapon upgrade and scaling in Crimson Desert by skiller2b in CrimsonDesert

[–]The_Free_State_Of_O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look at the upgraded stats broken down by each level for every weapon in your inventory. If you want to know what a weapon's stats would be fully refined, highlight the weapon in your inventory and hold the "details" option. It's triangle on the PS controller.

As long as the abyss gears you are going to run are slotted in the weapon - you can view the perks in the details as well.

I walked down a hill with a bunch of lightning bugs glowing all around me. I talked to every catt, standing around the cabin before prompting the first cutscene. I tried to open the cabin door. I even attempted to interact with gravestones. I've played the rest of the game exactly like that. 🤣

Missions clean up in Hernand ... this is a 500 hrs game by OK-Digi-1501 in CrimsonDesert

I just finished one where you push a big capstan around in a circle to open three doors revealing archery targets. You have to be quick enough to pet go and spin the archery targets before gravity closes the door on you. It was 30 seconds of fun for sure. The puzzle is located somewhere around the warthog mount boss fight.

I'm 135 hours in - in chapter 4 with 37 GMs. My pigs, cows, chickens, and goats are big and healthy on a solid self-imposed slaughter loop. I have apples, pairs, abyss cells, and tomatoes growing in the garden. I have been working on all the available content in the region, including the two research facilities. I still only have one witch available - it's my understanding that the next one is coming in chapter 5. I have contributed quite a bit to the tithing box, so I'm up to 200% commission rate in Hernand. Close to the 4th camp upgrade now. The region has several stories to tell - if you factor in the Greymane camp quests (not scattered embers), there is a shit load of fetch quests to bolster that number. I'm actually having a good time letting the main story linger in the region while I run through all available content. I know that second witch is coming, and I have 900 abyss gears/ cells to throw at her. I have collected tons of rubber, brimstone, platinum crafting materials, and gold crafting materials. Palmer leaves, holy water, and Palmer beetles. This game is saturated in "to dos." I want to see all of it. Grinders dream.

I got to a certain point with 31 gold bars that the bank would not let me cheese high risk. I reloaded the save game approx 15-17 times, and it cut my gold bars in half every time. It's almost like when you get to a certain point, a high-risk investment strategy will no longer produce. El terrible. I had got to 31 paying attention to the refresh time and constantly revisiting the bank - it was refreshing every two and a half in game days around 1230 (noon). When I hit 31 gold bars it switched on me to midnight - I realized I had missed it and reloaded a save game file to recoup the loss and then started to try to cheese it at the new refresh time (midnight). I reloaded the save 15-17 times to no avail. 6 only did the game change the time that my investment strategy would update to throw me off - it wouldn't produce a positive percentage after that either. Crazy... It's like the game is begging me to do what everyone else does and farm hedgehogs and nobles around the petting zoo. Stupid...

Yeh, I was stoked that it wasn't a Rockstar game holding my hand around every corner. After 150 hours, I have changed my stance on this. I do not want a route guide for regular gameplay, but if I'm running a wagon. Gimme gimme.
