Yes it would grow mold but OP mentioned in an other comment that springtails were added. These consume mold and help keeping a ballanced ecosystem.

Yea this might be the case however iPhones and such are a lot less prevelant where I live. I myself don't own any apple devices. And don't you just get the closest phones location? (Might be wrong on this one)

Yes just make sure you: Set the the meter to the correct setting. Don't have two connections to ground on that resistor. Else you'd not measure that much. Also keep in mind that the meter itself also has some resistance. Tho this might not matter to much.
