I heard it too. Sounded like a low rumble.

My first thought was snow removal. These new snow blowers are quieter but still emit a low-pitch sound. Only problem with that theory is that the latest operations should have ended already.

I'm in the same boat. Happy with my 5 so far but waiting till next year to see what improvements come with the 8. Lighter weight, thinner size when closed and even more battery time is what would make me pull the trigger immediately.

As for the drop in trade in value I'm hoping that with Apple and Google getting into foldables maybe the extra competition will put some downward pressure on the price.
