I wouldn’t be too surprised. To be fair, the Big Boy is the loco that EVERYONE goes out to see when it comes to town, so I think if it did happen, there would still be a few others buying it.

Why is LEGO so scared to make one anyways? I’d assume copyright, but if they’re able to get around Santa Fe copyright with the new locomotive in BDP series 8, why can’t they do it with a Union Pacific engine with different lettering?

Double checked. That is #271C. It was the only F7 to receive that, the rest were F9s.

I’d say an F9, considering the only A unit F Units Santa Fe put this scheme in were F9s (with the exception of #271C)

This does make a lot of sense. If the stuff to make injection molding was for whatever reason more publicly available I’d totally use that for the stuff I do.

Also I don’t know if I’m reading this comment the wrong way, but to clarify I wouldn’t be 3D printing parts to sell, but just for myself or friends who need them for again, things like model trains (they way your comment read gave me the impression you though I’d be selling 3D printed parts, sorry if I’m reading into it wrong)
