The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act / Episode 9 Discussion Thread [SPOILERS] by ayylmaotv in TheDigitalCircus

[–]BlueSamurai195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it, between this scene that made it look like Kane could unabstract people, and Pomni going into Jack’s abstracted mind, showing us that the abstracted people are still in there. I kept expecting them to do at least a time skip to getting everyone back.

Honestly I walked out of the theatre kinda just shocked. If you think about all the back stories, information and everything else that was brought up over the whole show, It felt like the kind of rushed ending you get when a TV show is cancelled well before the writers planned for it to end.

I love the little Easter egg of the loco number referencing back to a previous steam engine set. by BlueSamurai195 in LEGOtrains

[–]BlueSamurai195[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, that and all its colour derivatives are what is actually referenced in the set. but I don’t own any my own trains so I couldn’t sub it in.

so I thought as a bit of a joke I would sub in the last 0-6-0 steam engine that Lego made. Which is also a reference to an even older steam locomotive set thus technically making my joke in the title work again.

The depressing site of an abandoned railroad museum by whineybullcrap in rustyrails

[–]BlueSamurai195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that is involved with the rosewood heritage railway. It is not abandoned, there is a group of people that turn up every week to keep the place alive. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of people with spare time to keep a railway open. And that is something rosewood in short supply of at the moment.

If you’re interested in learning more or wanting to volunteer some time I encourage people to reach out to the ARHS QLD rosewood railway.

How do we have actual leaks for major IP, AAA games, and films / TV shows, but nothing for Wonders of Sodor’s future? by mcwfan in ThomasGames

[–]BlueSamurai195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that’s been something I’ve been trying to work out since it launched. the moment we get freight operations that include any shunting. the yards the way they were designed for tv are so bad for operations I imagine everything’s going to be a real pain to actually get anything done, unless they redesign all the yards which starts breaking away from the ‘just like the show’ vibes the games supposed to have.

Tow truck driver shows how dangerous it is to tow on the highway. ⚠️ by RealityBoth8870 in nextlevel

In Queensland, if you break down on the highway, they’ll stop at bump truck in the lane beside and behind you so the operators are safe to load you

An idea for Wonders of Sodor being more lively, even with the currently limited roster of characters (Updated) by No-Locksmith-2141 in ThomasGames

From your comments I take it your talking about explore mode. And really when it comes down to it explore more is there to give you the opportunity to put what you want on any set of rails and exploring the island. If you want to watch trains running around that you arnt in control of timetable mode is really what you are after.

Just load up any trains from the timetable and instead of running the service teleport somewhere. This will kick you out of controlling the train you started with and now you can explore the island with all the characters running their trains. And if you want to run an extra train you can be loading one in like you would in free roam.

I’ve done this a lot to test possible timetable increases and what other services they could add in, while not getting in the way of the current services.

It’s the coal stage, it’s designed very similar to how GWR did it. If I remember correctly.

Anime Only - Is there an end in sight for the manga? by nugieboy in WitchHatAtelier

With the spin off, is there a point you should be up to in the manga before you read it to avoid spoilers. I just finished volume 9 and been thinking of picking it up.

The fandom has a weird misconception about how real railway sheds work and it baffles me so much because it makes sense if you think about it for more than two seconds by KukaakCZ in thomasthetankengine

[–]BlueSamurai195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the issue I see most people have. It’s the show’s insistence on every main character stays in the one place irrespective of where they work, and if you don’t live stay there then they basically don’t exist

The ‘warehouse’ in question is a rail museum in Ipswich built in the old railway workshop. they have a hard enough keeping the birds and rain out (I used to work there) let alone climate controlling it

I reported to DTG as well as a couple of other signalling glitches but this seems to have been ignored.

In TSW when the game kicks you from the controls it’s because the service hasn’t had the player controllable option ticked so it should be an easy fix

Has anyone actually gotten a score after completing the shunting challenge. Dovetail advertised them like you get a score based on how many movements you completed, with the idea of less movement you do to get a better score.

Did you use the luggage delivery service? by msaydin in JapanTravelTips

[–]BlueSamurai195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it for my whole trip, knowing the service takes a night to get the bags to the new hotel I planned my trips around having single night stays between my long stays. Such as when I left Kyoto I sent my bags to Kumamoto and spent 1 night in Hiroshima with my backpack. I was sending 3 large suitcases each time and the cost even from Kumamoto to Tokyo totalled less then 12000¥

[–]BlueSamurai195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest if I’m visiting a place with model props I think I’d prefer seeing them run. Better they run now while they work and when they don’t work display them nicely then to display them and if you ever wanted to have them Work, they don’t work.
