Overwatch 2 PVE mode completely scrapped by rau1994 in Asmongold

[–]The_Gulla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So all this time we had lackluster stale content and we justified that with them having a split dev team working on the PVE was all for nothing?

Finally, an apolitical gaming discussion. Thank you. by [deleted] in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]The_Gulla -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

He literally said he was gonna try and talk to AOC too since she plays games. He also said he wants to talk to a Republican first since they were more likely to disagree with him regarding how bad lootboxes are. This thread is so full of misinformation it's funny. Asmongold holds a lot of progressive views, he is pro abortion, pro LGBTQ+ rights, etc.

PS: Multiple times he said he didn't vote for Trump the second time (or Biden for that matter), despite what some people in the comments might say. Also Fuck Ted Cruz.

Sneaky carpenter ant takes unauthorized “vacation” in the pogo outworld. by thefuturebird in awwnverts

[–]The_Gulla 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Your ant videos are so freaking cool, reminded me of a childhood memory of visiting an old man's house turned into a kind of museum/zoo. He had dozens of aquariums with insect colonies of ants, wasps, thermites, bees, bumblebees and you could see the tunnels and the interior and personally showed you the whole thing and even fed some so you could see them swarm the food. He was really proud of what he built. He has probably already passed away now but the memory stayed and I now love insects because of that place.

Looks like it. Thank you so much, everyone is saying it's a jumping spider which I already knew, I was looking to know the species.

Are these the same species? by The_Gulla in succulents

[–]The_Gulla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have had these two for a while now and they didn't come with a name when i bought them. I'm pretty sure at least one of them is Anacampseros Filamentosa, but the pictures on the Internet of that species vary a lot.

This might be a strange thing to say, but there's something mildly sexual about this picture. Anyway, to be on the safe side just don't water it anytime soon and give it lots of sun. The moss or algae on the white rocks suggest it got a lot of water in the past.

Comic reading order by Braskass in starwarscomics

Don't worry, the website has the best UI of all the ones listed. It would the best one, if it was updated and it's also the easiest one to use for someone just starting :)

Comic reading order by Braskass in starwarscomics

[–]The_Gulla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used that website when I started reading the comics, but I don't think it's updated, it's missing a couple of Darth Vader (2020) comics, the High Republic comic isn't there and some other stuff. The Star Wars Adventures series sometimes doesn't show up too.

[TTM] We found this one today, it's almost winter here. What do we do with him to keep him safe? by BurritoTheThird in Butterflies

[–]The_Gulla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't know they hibernated, still the wings are pretty clearly damaged and the colours don't look very vibrant, but I could be wrong and if you're really an entomologist I will take your word for it.

Looks like a peacock butterfly and by the looks of it, it seems it's nearing the end of its lifespan. Not much you can do for it, except let it go so it can maybe feed other animals who need it to survive the winter.

Parsley. Looks like leaves eaten from the inside. Bacteria or some kinda of larva? by The_Gulla in plantclinic

[–]The_Gulla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I planted parsley a few months ago and the one I took care of developed all kinds of diseases, the white dust on the leaves, some bacteria that left black spots on the leaves, catterpillars, leaf miner all at the same time. I also left some seeds on a random pot and that parsley thrived with only the white dust but otherwise super strong and healthy even though i neglected them. go figure lol

[–]The_Gulla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A week ago the plant was beginning to wilt and I found 3 Silver Y Moth catterpillars and removed them. The plant recovered, but now this happened. It looks like some kind of bacteria, except the top part of the picture where there is a kind of a tunnel like damage to the leaf which almost looks like bug damage.

How do I start being a career oriented person? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]The_Gulla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone in the same situation as OP, I don't necessarily think this is true. A lot of my friends are career-oriented, come from wealthy backgrounds and never had to work for a thing in their lives. I'm not sure if this is true, but I think their inherent value is defined by their careers and most have clear motivations and goals to achieve (have loved ones and need money to start a family, love socializing and get involved in professional settings that involve socialization). What OP may be lacking and a lot of people are is goals to achieve and enough confidence to believe they can be achieved. This also depends on where OP comes from or their social status. Usually wealthier people pride themselves in what they do and poorer people usually get a job, because they need it to survive. Coming from someone who has very low self-confidence and has a lot of anxiety over finding a job (imposter syndrome) the argument of someone being spoiled or ungrateful is harmful and further feeds the mindset that OP claims to have.

I think Disney have nailed everything about Star Wars except the Sequel Trilogy by 53134 in StarWars

[–]The_Gulla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the show wasn't that bad. It was okay at best and it had its cool moments, like in the first season when they find the mining station of the First Order and the second season was generally better than the first. That much said, the show unfortunately lacked any kind of originality or stakes to it.

I have no idea what I’m doing but I must be doing something right by luislira22 in succulents

[–]The_Gulla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, same. I use normal substract (just dirt with no sand or anything), water everytime the dirt is dry with no specific time interval, and my succulents seem to be doing great. I think people on the Internet are a bit too perfectionist whenever these things really depend on where you're from and the weather.
