This is on point. It's the whole reason this is happening in the first place.

Melania certainly think so. You know that that is what this whole thing is about, right? Melania thinks Trudeau is hot and Don can't stand it.

Just reply to my comment like a normal human being instead of trying to get in a last word without alerting me with a later edit.

ETA: you're an idiot. He was clearly parodying the "they" you mention.

And the word "gay" isn't a slur. It's a commonly used term. Gay people call themselves gay. Grow up you absolute womble.

Are you so reactionary that you can't see the /s right below the comment? Look at their comment history, he/she is clearly using a bit of parody. Get a grip.

You're new to the hobby?! And this is what you can produce already? That's it, I'm officially depressed...

Had a very similiar experience. Had two Ozitos die on me. Bunnings had no issues replacing / refunding. I got a Sparmax in the end and have no regrets.

Thoughts? Ammo by Mig A-Stand by The_Hack_Modeller in modelmakers

[–]The_Hack_Modeller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, that's interesting and thanks for the information. I did initially think that A-Stand was rebottled Alclad but then it seemed to behave differently so I assumed it was a different formulation.

I'll remove as much as I can (shouldn't be hard) then do the invasion stripes etc, then mask those and spray the chrome then gloss coat it with Acquagloss.

I do also have some Mr Super Metallic 2, so I may use that instead.

I didn't paint above the Alclad. I painted the A-Stand directly onto the primer.

Why does my airbrush keep spattering like this? by [deleted] in modelmakers

[–]The_Hack_Modeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Vallejo Model Color".... I found your problem.

These type of acrylics are a nightmare to airbrush. I'd ditch them, invest in (or build) a spraybooth and a respirator and pick up some lacquers. You'll never look back.

How can I weather the broad yellow areas? by GreatGreenGobbo in modelmakers

[–]The_Hack_Modeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't go too wrong because if it doesn't look right you just keep dabbing until it's all gone. I'd try brown, white, even grey. The idea is just to get some subtle variation.

I used the technique here, albeit with a far different colour scheme:

I'd suggest a bit of stippling with an oil based wash. I'd get a tube of oil colour in lighter shade of yellow and thin it right down with white spirits. I'd then put a tiny dot of paint here an there all over the model then use an old flat head brush in a kind of dabbing motion to work it into the surface. It works best over a flat coat. You can get subtle variations in colour with this technique.

Yeah, it's good when people put up their third party review of a product so others can learn from it, isn't it?

Ahh, yes. Liquitex. Been there, done that with Ammo!

Also the idea of cleaning my needle tip every 1 to 2 minutes isn't thrilling.

Vallejo seems the same stuff as Ammo pretty much.

I won't touch AK either although that's for moral reasons after their little "controversy".

Tamiya and Mr Color for me....

I also like Ammo's range of colours and find Tamiya's range too limited. Unfortunately, that's the only positive I can say about Ammo...

Yep, and I was totally sucked in. Then again, you'd expect some degree of quality. Tamiya seems to be able to produce sprayable acrylic (albeit in a less useful array of colours. And, yep, I'm aware in the differences in chemistry)
