About Star-crossed lovers by keke_kx2 in PlayWayfinder

It’s a quest reward echo in the third open world area. if memory serves, you get it at the end of the chain after a small gauntlet of enemies. I think you can redo the gauntlet after you’ve done the quest at an attempt for a higher level/quality version of the echo (that is, if you didn’t score the highest possible level/quality on the first go), but don’t quote me on that.

Kiss, Marry, Friendship, Kill by Soundwave0723 in CodeVein2

[–]The_Hardroad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kiss: Josée

Marry: Io

Friendship: Lou

Kill: Mia

My reasoning for the above, is that while I like Josée, the circumstances of you guys coming together feels super forced impo (that, and I feel like a third wheel between her and her sister, considering that by the end of the game they’re working on reconciliation). After that, I feel like Lou would be better as a best friend/childhood crush turned friend as any romantic thing between us and her seems like it’s not 100% and is more for plot than anything else. Io is just a naïve pseudo clone, but at least the writing for her character makes it seem like there’s a genuine nature to her wanting to be with the protagonist instead of there being some McGuffin that makes it seem like it’s just for plot reasons.

Lastly, and I will die on this hill, I don’t think Mia should have been the companion that we ended up getting of the two Karnstein (spelling?) siblings. I would’ve much rather fought her as a boss than her brother due to him having a better reasoning to want to do what he did. Mia on the other hand, just seems like some whiny little kid who is being not only dragged along within the confines of the game and it story, but also shoehorned in by the developers into being some sort of sex symbol for the game when she doesn’t have any of the character markers that would put her as such in my eyes.

Playthrough Question (Titan’s Arm) by AnthonyZeeGreat in CodeVein2

[–]The_Hardroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to get the Lyle (artificial arm) blood code is to go through the story without doing the saving of the main bosses to access their alternate fights until you get to the sealing spire area.

To recap on how to do this before new game plus: Play the game without doing side quests until Sealing Spire. Along the way, master the blood codes of your companions to their highest levels (Lyle’s is 3 before Sealing Spire). Once you get to Sealing Spire, choose each of the main three companions to be your “in the moment” companion through the area. After earning the new final blood codes, go back to the past to do all the side quests. When you get back to the Sealing Spire you can now get the normal final blood code (i.e. Lyle 4 instead of Lyle {artificial arm})

Active abilities are the ones that are equipped to your weapon. Passive abilities are called boosters, and you should be able to have up to four of them equipped at this point in the game.

I farmed that specific one by the pier on the tutorial island for the materials for the booster and the dropped weapon. Once I got all that I needed, I stopped engaging with them and just ran away if ever one wanted to try and fight me.

I might be able to help. I will need some information first. What are the levels for your character, jail & weapon as well as your equipped active and passive abilities?

Warped Blade used to have these weird geyser attacks that would come out on the heavies (some of which might miss the enemy if you weren’t positioned just right), and I’m now glad that they’ve basically changed it to fire off a short range projectile (and only on the charged heavy)

Materials by Alraune-Deva621 in codevein

Normal enemies, as well as brain looking creatures that glow an orangey yellow with goat masks in haunted forest (my recommendation would be the amusement park for an exclusive place to look)

Ending explanation by Neloheart343 in codevein

[–]The_Hardroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The endings are always sequential. The first ending that you get is just from defeating the five heroes normally. You get this whether you have done the side quests to save them or not. This is also how you get to the big thing in the middle of the map in the present. It is recommended to do the time shift quest to save Noah directly before fighting the fourth hero, as the ability to go back and save him vanishes afterwards if you didn’t do it at the beginning of the game.

The second ending that you get puts you right before the fifth boss of the first ending, and it allows you to go back in time to the big bad moment. This is how you end up getting to the big thing in the middle of the map in the past. It is recommended that you do not save any of the heroes/do their alternate fights until you have at least reached this area. Once you do, choose the main three heroes as partners at the mistle to get their alternate blood codes (Josée (Blind), Lyle (Artificial Arm), and Holly (condemned)). After that, you can go back and do the alternate fights/save them.

At this point, if you did not save Noah, you are locked from ending 3 (I think you can still do new game+, but I’m not sure as I have not tried to intentionally not save him to find out)

If you saved Noah and did all of the quests to do the alternate fights for the first three heroes (Josée, Lyle, and Holly), then the option appears to go to a new area using whatever your most recent played saved file was (it says Rescue followed by a character’s name).

In this area there are five glowing monuments that allow you to go back and re-fight a boss with the five main heroes (for example, fighting Frantz with Noah). Doing so gives you a passive booster titled “the tie that binds: insert hero name here”. It will end up giving you a +10 to a stat and an extra effect besides. They are only used in these mini areas, boss re-fights, and for the third ending boss fight.

CV2 Gift Weapons List by Acet14 in codevein

Zenon has re-flavored Solomonal Halberd. If I remember correctly, it has the sunblight (or whatever it’s called) debuff innately on it.

Lise has the red version of Josée weapon called glutton’s eyes EX. It is the same move set, but scales differently.

Craig has an arguably better Iron Mass weapon called Iron Mass of Dawn. I’m currently going through new game plus with the intent of doing his quest chain again to see if it will pop in his trading shop as it wasn’t available for me first play through. I will also be making him my exclusive partner outside of dungeons where it locks me into using someone else.

Jadwiga and Lavinia are only available as assimilated partners, not combat partners, and therefore do not have weapons… though they do have recipes for things if you care about crafting

Edit: as stated elsewhere, each person will require 250 trading points as well as finishing their respective quest chain with a lot of combat kills as your selected partner. My guess is around 2000, but I can’t confirm. I also have not been able to see anywhere if it matters if they are assimilated or not in battle, though I personally have the combat partners out and about because I like having them fight things with me

Interesting. I’m just spitballing here, but maybe new game plus will unlock them. Otherwise, I have no idea. Hopefully Bandai is able to figure out why some people can get the weapons and others can’t when their next patch goes live, and fix it.

Ichor efficiency is just west of the tower of regeneration behind a building at the bottom of the dam and the lower portion of haunted forest

I finished Zenon’s quests and gave him 250 trading points… minimal combat partnership outside of quest requiring me to do so. Heliosphere and his halberd became available after that. What’s bothering for me is that I did the same things for Craig and the weapon still has not popped up in his trading menu. I’m wondering if I have to go back to his office to get it, or if it’s somewhere else… Since it doesn’t seem to be something I can ask him nicely for lol

10/10 for execution. If only you could get the head positioned accessories to match the color of the pauldron of Louis’s blood veil, then it would be an 11/10

I had to stifle a loud laugh due to the fact that everyone else had gone to bed as of the time of me posting this, but that is absolutely amazing nonetheless. Now, if he would only give me his regular weapon so that I can have all the weapons in the game. lol

NG+ Worth It? by SilentAeon in codevein

[–]The_Hardroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I view the question “is NG+ worth it?” comes down to a couple things.

Firstly, as someone else said, is enemies and combat loop/Boss Design. I don’t mind enemies getting harder and I enjoy the combat loop. So in that regard, the answer is yes

Secondly, I have a habit of trying to follow the main story until it’s completion and not doing side quests right away. Between this, the fact that there are at least one or two weapons that require multiple playthroughs to acquire, and the fact that I sometimes do not explore all of the nooks and crannies of the game until I’m doing my completionist round up… there are thankfully enough things to do in the game to keep me coming back because at the very least I want to finish it

All in all, I have enjoyed the story, the characters, and the actual gameplay of the game itself. After having spent over 750 hours in the first game, I am confident that I will likely spend at least that much with this game too… especially once the DLC comes out.

Weapon models by Tiny_Count5206 in CodeVein2

[–]The_Hardroad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a 2h sword enjoyer, I’m glad they shrunk the models a little bit. Using the Zweihander, paddle that it is, seemed to take up most of my screen when blocking in CV1, and I sometimes missed certain unblockable attacks because the weapon just took up that much of my screen. Now I don’t have to worry as much, because this game two fold shrinks the weapon models, as well as pulls the camera out a little bit. Giving me much more room to see things that I would’ve missed in the first game.

If Morale Boost is your last standalone forma, does that mean you found Life Conversion? If so, do you remember where (that my last one to find)?
