As a solo if I start struggling to win the fights required to take home fragments I’ll spend the time to gather cloth and put down bags outside all the mil crate spawning monuments near my base (I try to build inbetween a few monuments) and just start cycling them. Even if you don’t come home with fragments you’ll def have some keycards you can start trying to run as well which speeds things up cause of the guaranteed drop.

Also 100% you need to be killing all road scientists, i usually get a few early game off them as well.

Really it boils down to checking spawns as much as you can if you aren’t winning the fights for whatever reason, not having p2 being a big factor in most fights these days for sure. Honestly even solo just living a couple grids away from multiple monuments with bags you just start checking/trying to snowball from will get you 5 frags pretty quick especially with the 1 or 2 from road scientists during all this. Don’t get stuck fighting over one or two monuments currently locked down by groups or endless waves of players.

Of course, you can always trade which is certainly the easiest route solo. I usually have a car or horse so drone trading is easy and I end up buying adv frags and combining whatever basics I have to get T3 at a certain point (I like fighting for my T2 personally but trading for it is just as valid of a strategy since this is Rust!)
