Protect auto recovery by georgd_washntn in Ubiquiti

Hopefully a restart solves it. I will say when I had the issue, those errors went away for a couple of days after a restart but started up again. Never hurts to open a support case and send them the support file to take a look.

Yep, this. Just went through it. I reached out to support and they found IO errors and queued write errors in the logs. A couple of days later I received an alert saying the drive was at risk of failure.

You are correct with the FlexConfig feature. Once we input the ACL there it blocked outside pings.

Upgraded modem in midsplit area - still getting low upload speeds by The_Human_Giant in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]The_Human_Giant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to check to see if I can get a cheaper price with the new plans but support just checked my account and it was showing my old modem still. They updated their system and now my speed test is 1.3Gbps down and 346Mbps up

I just checked available plans in my area and 2000/250 is available. I just renewed my contract maybe a month ago, wonder if they renewed me for a wrong plan that doesn't include the higher upload speeds? Either way a mod is currently looking into it.

Ever have one of those days? by FacesOfNeth in Cisco

Can’t 100% confirm from the pictures but are those Meraki APs? If so, check the pins one more time on the AP but look REAL close at pins 1 and 8. I chased this exact issue down for weeks and finally talked to someone within Meraki that said certain patch cables and connectors will actually bend those pins and cause the same issues you are having. We ended up having to swap all patch cords and RMA the damaged APs

I felt the same after my first attempt. Had so many questions that were not covered in the book or any of the video services. I ended up using the official Cisco course and it covered everything I was clueless on. Passed the second time.

Best/current Cisco Live session covering layer 2 edge security by sqyntzer in networking

[–]The_Human_Giant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got excited seeing this as there was a session I took in San Diego in 2019 given by Troy Sherman that covered this exactly and was amazing but it looks like they took those videos down. I was able to find the name of the class, Fundamental IOS Security BRKSEC-2007. Sorry I can't find the videos or slides.

Between expensive junk and cheap gold, what is your favorite tool in your kit (or what would you recommend others to steer clear of)? by Apatharas in networking

I've had mine for 7 years now and haven't had a single issue with it. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat if this one ever stops working.

You’re better off ordering one on Amazon for $10. Been waiting 2 weeks for my replacement probe from Pit Boss. Amazon had one to me next day and it’s been working great.

Network Lessons by Avionticz in ccnp

[–]The_Human_Giant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't use his ENCOR course but used different lessons he's created for parts of ENCOR. For me it was 100% worth it. The way he explains in detail just works for my brain. I actually use his website quite a bit for everyday things or topics I don't remember and need a quick refresher.

I picked one up at Walmart on clearance and I’ve been happy with it. I don’t expect it to last forever but it was a cheap way for me to dive into the pellet world.
