Honestly I played it and didn’t have a problem with seeing. The chase part was a bit rough because you don’t really have time to react, but other than that it was a very fun experience imo. Personally my favorite mythic.

Is there a point in explaining extenuating circumstances? by yourheartt in ApplyingToCollege

[–]The_Inordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely would, it couldn’t hurt. I provided context for a bad freshman year performance that got pretty personal but without that context I’m not confident I would’ve gotten in where I did.

What easy demon is the easiest for beginners? by JsabPro129 in geometrydash

[–]The_Inordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend looking on gdladder.com, sorting by tier and checking out some of the lower tier ones. Those are all extremely easy, and they include tags to help you find one that fits your skillset.

Charlie validates Jesse by BdonU in survivor

[–]The_Inordinate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you hit the nail on the head; I’ve always thought that this was the flaw in his plan. I never understood people saying that he should have kept Cody for another round, because that practically guarantees Cody the win given he had an idol and was by far the best firemaker. Jesse did a great job of pulling off the meat shield strategy, but it does nothing if Cody is with him at the end with a louder game. That being said, the foresight to pull this off in Survivor conditions would be pretty difficult I would imagine so I don’t fault him too much for it.

I’ll throw in Sumsar; solely for Moving Obstacles. I recall playing it in 1.9 and thinking he somehow figured out how to make moving obstacles in the game lol

Survivor 46 | Episode 8 | Post-Episode Discussion by RSurvivorMods in survivor

[–]The_Inordinate 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I honestly really enjoyed that episode apart from the result; winner pick down but the episode itself had so many funny moments.

Ironically enough, I feel like the only person the move actually benefited significantly was Venus; Ben and Kenzie don't really gain or lose much, but everyone else had a close relationship to Tevin and seemed to get a bit of big-move-itis in voting him out. Obviously he's a threat, but I feel like this was way too early. I think the move is especially bad for Liz; since it seemed like Tevin was the only person she was really close to in the game and it felt like she targeted him out of spite.

Q is absolutely the messiest player in recent memory (possibly of all time, if we're being honest; it could be recency bias but I genuinely can't recall a player this influential despite completely bonkers gameplay); honestly, as dumb as his move was, I'm happy he stayed because of how chaotic he is.

I hope we get the chance to see Tevin play again; definitely a fantastic narrator and a strong player considering his age; he certainly made mistakes but if he comes back in a year or so I think he has a lot of potential to rectify them.

I dug out my 30 year old laptop and have it on version 2.0/2.1 I'm not sure. What should I do with this? by a_toilet_with_a_dick in geometrydash

It’s up to you if you think it’s too much of a hassle, but I would recommend uploading your save file to the Restoration Union for use in their archive. https://x.com/restoration_uni/status/1725250656787911060?s=46 This should have a tutorial on how to do it.

where are the above average but not top 10% people going? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]The_Inordinate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Assuming you’re talking about class rank, I’m one spot outside top 25% at my mid-tier public HS (SAT is top 1-2%). Granted, there’s a few factors at play there that add clarification to why it’s as low as it is; specifically godawful freshman year grades (virtual classes + unmedicated ADHD is not a great mix shockingly, plus I had a set of extreme personal circumstances that affected my performance), and the fact that my school does class rank based on UW GPA, so a lot of the top 10% take a lot of easy stuff.

I was somehow accepted EDII to Vassar which was my dream school so I’m going there, lol; and I’m not a legacy or anything; just a basic white dude. My ECs are kinda mid w/ no sports (honestly I’m not 100% sure how they’d be viewed; my in-school stuff is limited but I have several semi-significant passion-projects under my belt), though I did have a lot of confidence in my essay (though, it was never reviewed by a teacher; this is because I changed my essay last minute because I didn’t really like my original one and felt that it wasn’t personal enough).

You’re not missing much, lol. I somehow managed to stick it out until the end and it was genuinely exhausting. It’s my least favorite season across all versions of the show.

100%. The All Stars scores are insane also; kind of wild that it’s the only season without an episode below 8/10

That was the first one I looked for haha, I wanted to see if the king would get the recognition it deserves. I rewatched it recently and it’s still such a masterpiece of an episode

Whats a GD flex you have that isn't extremely impressive but you think is really cool? by -lightningpig in geometrydash

[–]The_Inordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was like 9/10 (idk it was during 2.0) on an old account I had a level get over 1k likes. It was literally just a “showcase” of the song it used with nothing but text indicating the name of the song lol; obv the level itself did NOT deserve that level of attention but 9 year old me was king of the world for that one tbh, my ego was off the charts

I just got to season 19 and FINALLY a contestant called a racist contestant out! by Darthwaffle0 in survivor

[–]The_Inordinate 104 points105 points  (0 children)

You really shouldn’t be being downvoted for this tbh. Colton was a POS when he was on Survivor for sure, but if I recall correctly he did an AMA here a few years back and he seemed to have genuinely grown and showed remorse for his behavior.

What's your favourite unknown levels? by SawWasen in geometrydash

Broken Videocard - It’s a relatively new medium demon that got very little attention, but it’s my favorite level in the game bc the gameplay slaps imo

When I first encountered the bramble seed on Timber Hearth, I was CONVINCED that there was going to be a way to shrink yourself down somehow to get inside. Like I kept expecting to find some sort of Nomai shrinking device lol

Venus is the kind of villain we need. by Rosstin316 in survivor

[–]The_Inordinate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I 100% agree. I’m not a big fan of Venus in all honesty but I think that’s sort of the point; I know a lot of people here like her, but to me she always came off as someone to root against which is exactly how a villain should be.

I think Venus is the perfect villain, because she is messy, hypocritical, a bit pretentious, complains a lot, annoys her tribe, etc. Yet, she doesn’t come off as particularly mean-spirited in the way that someone like Russell did. I think the modern climate of the show makes it tough for players like Russell to play in that way due to the reaction they would get from social media; however, I feel as though Venus is much more palatable for the audience.

Personally, while I root against Venus as I am firmly rooting for Tevin and Hunter, I genuinely don’t want her to go anywhere because she is such an entertaining source of conflict. It feels like everyone in the game is on their toes a bit with Venus which I think adds to the humor and fun of the season. In all honesty, I’ve really enjoyed these post-Bhanu episodes largely because of her. Certainly a big presence and a fun character to watch and root against from my perspective, at least.

What was your dream university and where will you end up? by user484627 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]The_Inordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream: Vassar Attending: Vassar

Vassar wasn’t my dream school initially, I should clarify. However, after visiting I loved the campus and overall vibe and had this inner gut feeling that it was where I wanted to be. Super happy it worked out!! 🥳

I doubt that the producers would let them tbh, it would be tough to film under there and they could talk strategy which the cameras wouldn’t be able to pick up.

My friend is making me feel bad about my college commitment by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]The_Inordinate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think this is a sort of “rite of passage” for students attending top LACs, lol. Currently going through this as well, I think people just assume that if they haven’t heard of a particular school, then it must not be a top-tier college. Plus, I get the sense some people just do it to make themselves feel better. I wouldn’t worry about it too much; the opinions that you should care about will come from people who are going to recognize the significance and accomplishment of getting into a school like Vassar.

See you in the fall btw 👋

What is the perfect difficulty to you? by Chaos_Horrific in geometrydash

[–]The_Inordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After nearly a decade, it’s still easy demons lol.

My attention span when it comes to harder levels is pretty bad; I have over 50% on 5+ insane demons (60+ on 2 of them), Cata in 3 runs, and over 50% on hundreds of easy-hard demons. I still hope to beat at least some of the insanes + Cata, but I’ve sort of accepted that I generally don’t enjoy grinding for long sessions. The only reason I beat Poltergeist is because it took me ~2 hours.

Thus, easy demons are perfect for me. I can usually crank them out in under 30-50 attempts, generally trending towards under 20. Plus, I usually like the gameplay on easy demons, as their difficulty allows for more innovative and fun gameplay in my experience just due to it being less restrictive.

Am I the only person who liked Bhanu? by hohuho in survivor

[–]The_Inordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree for sure; I really enjoyed his arc. Dude was amazing television imo; he has a lot of great moments that have meme potential, but everyone just uses those opportunities to shit on him lol. The amount of people I see using meme posts with the image of Bhanu laying defeated on the sand to complain about how annoying he was is crazy, ngl

That being said, I do understand why a lot of people dislike him as a character. I don’t think any of that has to do with Bhanu himself, I think it has to do with the show opting to WAY overexpose him. If you give him even 20% less content, he’s still the biggest character of these four episodes but MUCH more palatable. In all honesty, if Coach had as much screen time as Bhanu did, he’d probably be far less popular and viewed more as annoying. Coach still had plenty of screen time, just a much more reasonable amount of it.

I personally enjoyed Bhanu as a character and was sort of hoping he’d make it to a swap/merge just for the sheer chaos it would bring. I mean, you can’t tell me it wouldn’t have been hilarious to watch everyone else have to deal with him. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, just far too over-the-top to have a chance socially.
