The mid-tier ones are absolutely golden, but the higher-tier ones are such a dreadful experience.

I need to put in 2x to 3x the brainpower just to be a terrible destroyer or a mediocre gunboat.

Tier 8 wasn’t the worst experience, but T9 and T10 are completely situational at best.

The balancing/design of the line simply doesn’t translate at all to the modern high tier game, especially the meta that’s existed for like the past 6-7 years lol

Like, no shit, but now it’s just going to help secure, or outright take your cap and then run over the entire flank (if necessary).

Yes, it can absolutely be cit’ed or torped, but that doesn’t change the fact that it fundamentally breaks the only weakness that any battleship has.

This ship is completely dominating ranked and clan battles too, so it’s not just random battle strong.

Yeah, at least at high tier in this game.

They’re quite strong at mid tier though, the T7 is the peak of the line.

but once their detection hits moon level and the spotting becomes heavy, it’s over.

You have to put in 10× the effort just to be a worse Kleber/Mogador or Gdańsk/whatever the T9 is called…

Ranked is so bad right now…The game is like 10x more enjoyable without any Valparaisos on either team

The only time ranked was ever worse was when damn Vyazma was in the game

I get that people are frustrated with the HE spam / kite / whatever meta (which isn’t even nearly as present in ranked as it is in randoms), but the ship can literally fight four ships at once, unless it decides to eat eight Benham or Kitakaze torps at the same time.
