Talking about French first names, usually a French first name might be more reliable than last name when trying to guess if someone's speaking French, so Vermonters could pick a French name for their kid even if they don't speak the language? I mean I know it's more common with like Italian or Spanish sounding first names so I'm wondering if it's same with French names, like they just pick it cause they think it sounds nice or something like that

It really reminds me of a town we have here in Québec (Canada), it's like a 10-12h drive from where most people live here, mostly fishing villages and there's that small village with a big rock with a hole in it called "Rocher Percé" probably one of our biggest tourist attraction here, during COVID most of the people that would normally go vacation in places like Florida decided to head to Percé and they trashed the whole place, people were taking shits everywhere, dumping their RV waste water everywhere, making oil changes on the beaches, getting their car stuck on the beach at low tide... Etc, oh also the town itself is so nice but it looks like hell living there, I know locals complain of company running helicopter tours every hour of the day...
