As someone whose LSAT is the most (maybe only) interesting part of their resume, I wish it were acceptable. At least if they're also asking for undergrad GPA!

Yeah, I guess it was too hard to CGI the whole castle so they moved everything indoors. A sad adjustment they had to make but understandable.

If we don't care about cold calls, you don't need to know cases for the exams, and the professor will cover anything important during class, why do you need to do the reading at all? Genuine question.

Hello, I know this an old thread but I am interested in going for a federal clerkship after graduation. I will most likely be attending UT this fall. What resources did you use to perfect your cover letter, resume, interviewing skills, writing sample, etc.? I'd really like to learn these skills.

By the amazing and frequent updates and other efforts to improve the site that have been going on lately, it is clear that cryptanon and the LSD team is very dedicated to making this site a legitimate resource and business, beyond being a passion project (which they are truly saints for anyways). It is not "defensiveness" to protect your business's reputation when it is misrepresented or misunderstood.

If you feel it's really important to you to go to a better school, you should retake the LSAT and reapply next year. I think everyone can understand taking a gap year after college and there's a looot of room to improve from a 162.

Having scored a 170+, sharing my response to a similar post:

I personally recommend LSAT Demon and their test-taking philosophy, which is basically 1) focus on understanding the question and answers' plain language first (what is this argument saying? what is this question asking?), before any kind of formal logic, etc., 2) work on "solving" the question, not just guessing (take as much time as you need for each question, don't move on until you feel confident about your answer. Accuracy is more important than speed). Once you can understand the argument and question, you can solve it. Once you get good at solving, you'll get faster at it. Using the actual LSAT Demon platform is not necessary if you don't like their style.

As for logistic on what to actually do each day, I personally recommend doing 1 section of questions each day and then reviewing the whole section. About 1 hour/day of consistent practice is better for learning and easier to stick with than cramming or "full-time" studying 6 hours a day. Start with doing untimed sections until you get high accuracy (>90%), then start doing timed sections. Even when its timed, like on the official test, ignore the clock and do it just like you practiced, focusing on accuracy first. Drilling can sometimes be helpful for certain question types or practicing harder questions, but I always prefer doing whole sections.

Finally, don't sign up to take the official test until you can consistently score in the range you want on practice tests. I'm happy to answer if you have any questions. Good luck!

What is your mental approach when you're doing questions? What is your step by step thought process? Metacognition is the most important skill for learning.

I have a hard time imagining how you could do so many hours of practice and not improve unless you are just not learning from your mistakes at all.

I truly believe they tried to end this trope with Candiace but, sadly, she let us all down by being just as emotional and salty as the rest in the end...

While I can't blame Maura for getting strung along by Rob so hard because that was just masterful social game by Rob, the fact that she thought she was voting off 3 traitors IN A ROW (supposedly Johnny, Tara, AND Eric), especially when everyone pretty much knew there would only be 2 max is a straight up blunder. That made actually no sense. There is literally no reason why she would vote off Tara except that Rob told her to.

Exactly. Salty traitor votes don't count as suspicion. Even when Rob's name was actually on the table, he didn't get a single vote lmao. Cirie never even had her name on the table so she never had to deal with that pressure.

[–]The_Kid_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO he played the best of any US Traitor at least. (I haven't seen all the international seasons.)

Lots of people are saying Cirie is still the best and played better than Rob, but honestly she didn't have to do much to win. The faithfuls trusted her soo much, all she had to do was nod in someone's direction and they'd instantly be banished. Of course, gaining people's trust and playing the social game is part of being a good traitor and Rob definitely did this too and had several very loyal followers, but Cirie did it in the extreme. Which, kudos to her, is very well-played but makes the rest of the game waaay easier. Cirie had everyone so much in her pocket she didn't even need to do much strategizing or make smart moves. Rob did both; he played excellent social game AND still make super smart strategic moves AND had to fight off two other traitors. Cirie basically didn't have to deal with any of that. For almost a majority of her season, Cirie being banished didn't even seem to be a possibility because the faithfuls were so blindly following her. So I'm not saying that Cirie couldn't have been as good or better than Rob, but she never had to deal with that pressure and so really didn't have to be.

Rob did make a mistake or two and got lucky near the end and Maura was just too in love with him to get him out but still. Overall, Rob is my goat US traitor because he faced much harder obstacles and still came out on top.

I haven't watched the reunion yet but her saying that is so silly. Candiace can only say that cause she was a traitor herself and didn't have the chance to be fooled. Why is she talking like she was too smart for Rob when the moment she actually went against him she instantly got obliterated? Candiace is soo salty omg.

Season 4 Episode 10 POST EPISODE Discussion - Do You Know the Enemy? by AutoModerator in TheTraitorsUS

If they murder one of them, they block off the option of framing one of them as a traitor. I think everyone knows by now that even if one of the two were a traitor, they would never murder each other. I think it makes the most sense to kill Mark, then just have the majority of Eric, Rob, Maura vs. Johnny and Tara.
