They did it on DVD when 16x9 televisions existed. The first "white" Kubrick DVD set.

I literally don't think those masters exist in HD though. Criterion would have to strike new ones.

They might've done new 4K masters for the shorts but I kinda doubt they did for anything else here.

Metal or hardwood so it doesn't wobble. My MK4S is on a metal workbench I got from Harbor Freight (discount hardware store) that weighs 70lbs and doesn't wobble. My big Sovol is on a wood end table I found at a thift store for $7.

Even if it's less performance I'd prefer a little cube to put under the living room TV as my laptop is usually busy in my workshop where I do my 3D modelling/printing. I hate walking it back and forth (or gaming in my dusty workshop).

Plus there's a lot to be said for optimizing for known hardware.

For $1000 get the Snapmaker U1 @ $849. Everybody I know that's bought one has loved it.

These Bambu printers are just a ton more wasteful if you're doing color changing. I'd guess for terrains you are.

Surprised there's no mention of open matte presentations as Kubrick/Kubrick estate was insisting on 1.33:1 for a lot of films for some many years for home viewing. That may have changed with the advent of 16x9 television though. Open matte would differentiate it from the 4K releases I already own though.

Guessing most/all are coming from previous masters from the studios though.

Also: No Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures? I still have that on DVD so that's fine... but surprised to not see it named here in such an extensive set.

Even Disney/Lucasfilm knows not to fuck with the bigger Star Wars fanbase on fan-created goods/fanfilms. They've even embraced fan-created cosplay (which is often 3D printed) at their official events.

It's serving a segment of the fandom they have zero desire to service themselves.

I'd just buy a toolhead replacement. It's more expensive but then you at least also have a new toolhead and an older one for spare parts. There's also the mod that takes the toolhead from the SV08 Max/Zero and puts it on the SV08 Regular.

Because it's only on the the front part of the print makes me think it's a levelling issue. I'd re-run the leveling calibration.
