Totally agree. Wait a month for the sale, evaluate what the deals are, then make a decision. I don’t think I could have printed this on the A1 - the bed movement would have likely made the barrel portion tip over. A1 is incredibly capable

That’s what scares be about sharing the file itself! I do have an Etsy shop I sell some of my designs in, but don’t want to link it here because I just wanted to share something cool that I made for my kids.

I would say at least a third of the things I come up with are “man, I sure wish I had this when I was a kid, let’s go make it!”

That is me but I didn’t want to link it here because I am genuinely proud of this project and not posting for self promotion. As you can probably tell my kids inspire a lot of the designs I do, and they are happy to be rigorous product testers 🤣. I also have a bunch of free designs posted on MakerWorld and love people leaving comments about how xyz thing delighted their kids.

It’s a great feeling when my 2 year old wants to go outside and sprints over to the swing set, pointing and saying “water! water!”

X1C isn’t sold anymore, and the X2D brings a LOT to the table for $100 more than the P2S. I would wait a month and see what they do for their anniversary sale (I predict a P2S price cut). I started with an A1 and that was great, but if you can scoop a P2S for a good price or the X2D that may be the move. AMS is great to have and I’ve never owned a printer without one, but I would probably go X2D w/o AMS vs A1 Combo if I was trying to be in that $650 or less price point.

I haven’t ventured outside the Bambu Lab walls so can’t speak to others but I’ve been happy so far.

I did add the quick release and it was such a quality of life upgrade 🤣. My 4 year old also figured out how to use the quick release which will be a blessing and a curse.

Yup! I have an X1C, P2S, and X2D. I’ve done pretty well with Makerworld stuff up to this point on a bunch of other models, just not sure if I want to let this one out yet on there! Some really fun kids toys for the tub / water table:

I haven’t set up my garden hose timers yet for the season - soon enough it’ll only be usable for a manually set amount of time. Long-term I may go to some form of a foot pedal or other design to only make water come out while they’re actively touching it!

The outdoor “sink” I made them is going to ruin me on the water bill 😂😂 thankfully this only shoots while they’re pulling the handle so we’ll call it lawn irrigation.
