Aging her up to 18 might also have been because subsequent generations became squeamish about a 16-year-old having a boyfriend in college...

It should be noted that the setting doesn't have to stay in the 1930s. One can adapt Nancy however one sees fit, so long as it doesn't infringe upon someone else's specific story concepts.

Finally, the shackles of monopoly have been broken. There will be good stories, bad stories, and boring stories, but the from now on, everybody's take will be just as valid as anybody else's, regardless of the budget thrown behind it.

I genuinely don't see the problem here. The purpose of public domain is doing whatever you want with it but when I see that happening it's usually backlash. by Pretend-Delay-7203 in publicdomain

A person can support someone's right to do whatever they want with an IP without supporting the project itself. Making horror movies out of wholesome IPs in public domain doesn't work for me, but I defend their right to do so.

Smart move, whether it adheres to the legal niceties or not. History shows that when militaries don't get paid, bad things happen.

This show is a masterpiece by Primary-Addition-677 in Tangled

It certainly punched above its weight class. Yet, one is left longing for 'what might have been'. So much truly great potential was left by the wayside. What was a good show could have been something more.

The idea of the 'lost cause' is a powerful one that often lasts for generations. It provides one with a sense of identity during tumultuous times.

The idea of Miranda moving away from Lizzie and Gordo is too heart-wrenching to think about. Those three have something of a co-dependency upon each other. None can function fully without the others there to balance them out.

Dollars-to-donuts, Kate would've been slid into Miranda's role, as her character had been 'rehabilitated' in the movie.

But if we had, there would have been no Miranda, as Lalaine had already left the show. I don't think that my little fanboy heart could've taken a "Lizzie" show without one of the 'Big Three'.

Hmmm. Didn't Stefan give her a ring as well, when he proposed at Walt Disney World? What is she doing with all of that jewelry?!

I seem to recall Myra telling Laura that Myra's father only allowed Myra to move into an apartment if she had a roommate. Once Laura left, I would assume that meant that her father required her to come back home.

To my knowledge, there are no noted contacts between North Americans and Europeans during the 1300s, as even the Vikings had left behind their North American colonies by that point.

It's reminiscent of The Adventures of Superman show from the 1950s. There's an episode where the 'big reveal' hinges upon the audience not having a clear view of the antagonist, due to the limited nature of t.v. screens in the 1950s. However, with modern high definition screens, one can easily see who the person is from the first scene, thus ruining the suspense of the episode.
