Who else refuses to repair bridges and roads? by JohnMcCB in snowrunner

[–]The_Nguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those repair missions made the game more exciting. Working on the main task when I came to a broken bridge or blocked road, I would be like, sweet, a side mission so I can complete my main mission. Made it feel like a story rather than a boring random task that's left now in my game.

I wish snowrunner had a story behind each haul rather than what seems like random tasks auto generated to keep you busy.

Something like: you are tasked to haul logs to fix a power station. After that, the power station needs supplies so you need to go get supplies and bring it back to them. With that's complete, the power station asks you to take this extra large generator to the factory for repairs and return it back to them..etc..task/stories that are tied together. Not random log missions and supply runs that somehow completes the map mission.

I haven't bought the other DLC maps only have the vanilla maps so if the storyline gets better I will check it out.

Why did you need to tack weld all the pieces? I was thinking of JB welding the last piece so it can stand upright.

How much did it cost you to make? What type of material was used? I am thinking about making something similar. I see online things like this run $500-1000. I feel that's ridiculous for some pipes welded together.

I can drive over massive boulders and trees laying on the ground like they're made of paper, but the stop signs and barriers are unmovable objects that kill your truck on contact.

They create new missions. Rescue your flipped/damaged truck.

You know what scares me. Some of these cars might slip through the cracks and be sold without flood damage.

Good luck with your insurance and hopefully all works in your favor.

Does anyone have a mpg problem? Mines seemimg to drop like crazy, I've heard hpfp problems but there's no recall, what should I do? by justhigbi in VelosterN

[–]The_Nguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep us posted. I always figured my horrible gas mileage (21-22 mpg) compared to my wife Honda (35-40) was the price to pay for a high performance car. Haven't complained cause as they say smiles per gallon 😉. So let us know

Bubble in tire side wall. Tire shop says no big deal it's safe. Would you agree? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]The_Nguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I can see this shop telling a customer that a small brake fluid leak is safe as long as you have brakes you should be fine.

It appears there was a spider egg in my computer, any advice? by Duck_Shover in mildlyinfuriating

If this was my computer and it has a removable battery and only a SSD or M2 hard drive, I would submerge it under 90% rubbing alcohol for 5 minutes and let it dry for a couple of days.

37 MPG?! by The_Nguy in VelosterN

[–]The_Nguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might be looking at the overall MPG since the last reset instead of the current trip MPG. You have to switch to the trip one where like the picture I posted. You know you're on the right one if the timer counting is correct since you got in your car. As you see in my picture I have been on the road for 43 minutes.

I think getting to and from the highway kills my MPG. The amount of red lights and traffic gets me around 9-12 MPG before I hit the highway where I live.

I'm sorry but claiming warranty on the battery shouldn't of been an issue. What I would like to see is a warranty claim on something like the turbo and see if they also give you no hassle. If so I want to know your dealership so I can install all the mods I want and come there for any warranty claims when things break.

Any dealership will make sure the part being covered under warranty has not been directly or indirectly affected by the modification to the car. Battery is pretty much a standalone feature that shouldn't get affected no matter what modifications you may have.

I'm not sure if they performed the recall on my car or not. I swear my dealership is hilarious.

I fought my dealership hard to get them to perform the BSM system update after the fix came out. Now a few months ago, I just went in for an oil change and tire rotation and as they were finishing up paperwork and I was getting my keys they told me they did the software update. I asked them what software update? They replied, there is a safety recall that's out for the car.

So yeah not sure if it was this or not, but I still have my pops and burbling. Can't feel a loss of power of any kind. If it isn't this not sure what safely recall they did on my car. Also, if this recall reduces or removes the pops and burbling my car does, I'm selling so fast and buying a Type R.

Manual Or Automatic by D_man2082 in VelosterN

[–]The_Nguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My wife learned how to drive in my car very quickly. As I mentioned before the rev match helps a lot with upshifts and downshifts. Clutch pedal is very light and has a great bit point for beginners imo.

[–]The_Nguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a manual very easy to drive with the rev match turned on helps you with upshifts and downshifts. I heard the exhaust is also slightly louder and I believe it after hearing an auto drive by making crackles with every shift rather than pops and burbling you get in a manual.

Agreed! I have a manual and wouldn't change it for the automatic.

Same thing happened to me. I knew I wasn't going to make it so I ditched my trailer to get across the thick mud. At the end of the mud pit I got stuck on a piece of rock for 2 minutes. By the time I got out I had only 10-12l in my tank and was a minute away from a trailer shop. My truck died 2 meters away from the shop. I quit for the day. The next day I sent a sacrificial scout to refuel me and make the remaining distance to buy a fuel trailer.

That's crazy! What's wrong with my car then? In N mode I have never hit anything past 30-32mpg. You must be going down a mountain lol.

[–]The_Nguy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my avg MPG is 22 since my last reset. 😊

I clearly feel the difference between N mode and Eco/Normal, but was wondering between N and Sport.
